Job Title: Import Specialist Location : Ahmedabad Industry : Color Cosmetics Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end import operations for Finished Goods and Packaging Materials including vendor coordination, logistics, customs clearance, and documentation. Drive and oversee Finished Goods registration with India FDA, USFDA, and CDSCO as per regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with Legal Metrology Act, labelling, and other statutory requirements. Collaborate with customs agents, freight forwarders, and third-party service providers to ensure seamless import clearance. Maintain comprehensive records of import documentation, licenses, and regulatory filings. Partner with cross-functional teams (Supply Chain, QA, Regulatory, Finance, NPD, etc.) to align import timelines with business needs. Build and sustain strong working relationships with overseas suppliers, government authorities, and regulatory consultants. Monitor and update management on changing import/export regulations and global compliance requirements. Represent the company in international business meetings, vendor audits, and regulatory discussions; frequent travel to China and other countries will be required. Identify and implement cost optimization strategies in imports, logistics, and customs duty.
