Job Description:

PAID BOARD ROLE + FREE FOUNDERS’ EQUITYAdequate financing is planned — no capital required from board members.Board Member – Strategic Advisor | Retired PE GM / Partner.Join the founding board of a hospital acquisition platform consolidating EBITDA-positive, family-owned hospitals (20–100 beds) across Tier-2 and Tier-3 India. We are recruiting a retired Private Equity General Manager, Operating Partner, or Investment Partner with a strong track record in Indian healthcare M&A to advise on capital deployment, platform design, and institutional-scale value creation.About the CompanyWe are building a healthcare consolidation platform to acquire and integrate small to mid-sized hospitals (20–100 beds) in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. Our disciplined acquisition model targets hospitals with ₹10–₹60 crore in revenue and 12–18% EBITDA margins. Over the next 12–18 months, we plan to acquire 6–8 hospitals in Maharashtra, adding 600–800 beds and generating ₹180–₹250 crore in consolidated revenue. Hospitals will be organised into regional clusters with shared clinical protocols, procurement, and administration thus improving efficiency and margins. The market opportunity is significant: ₹1.5 trillion in hospital assets are expected to change hands in the next 5–7 years, driven by succession gaps, promoter fatigue, and regulatory pressures. Unlike aggregators, we will own and operate each hospital directly to ensure consistent quality, pricing, staffing, and branding. Our target: ~5,000 operational beds through 70–80 acquisitions in 5–7 years, with EBITDA margin expansion and valuation uplift positioning the platform for an institutional sale or public listing.Role SummaryYou will serve as a board-level advisor to the founder and leadership team, providing strategic input on deal evaluation, capital structuring, investor communication, and post-acquisition value creation. You’ll also support fundraising by connecting the platform to your network of institutional capital providers, lenders, and deal professionals—exclusively within the healthcare ecosystem.Key ResponsibilitiesReview hospital transaction models, diligence packs, and capital stack proposals. Advise on deal structuring: equity rollover, seller financing, earn-outs. Guide capital raising strategy with DFIs, NBFCs, healthcare funds, and strategic investors. Introduce relevant investors and healthcare-focused capital sources. Guide platform strategy: integration, EBITDA margin expansion, scalability in clinical operations. Support equity planning, governance design, and institutional exit preparation. Mentor the founder and co-develop a disciplined healthcare platform roadmap.Candidate Requirements (Mandatory)Retired or semi-retiredGeneral Manager, Partner, or Operating Partnerfrom a PE or growth equity firm.
