DevOps Engineer

- Job Title: Azure DevOps Engineer - Location: Chennai / Hyderabad / Bangalore / Noida (any location) - Working Style: Hybrid – 2 days in the office per week - Client Interview : Yes – they may ask to write the code during an InterviewResponsibilities- Builds, configures, customizes and supports products that provide innovative solutions to challenging business use cases, existing system and operational problems. - Key contributor to an engineering team that builds and supports exceptional products that provide innovative solutions to challenging business use cases, existing system and operational problems. - Leads architectural design, system analysis, and programming activities on application software; this may often require independent research and study. - Leads teams that develop high-quality and production-ready software by using best-practice data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and frameworks that are maintainable, scalable, responsive, and secure. - Champions writing highest quality code with utmost attention to scalability, security and performance and with an end-to-end mindset from conception to delivery and production support, owning specifications, quality, release deployments and monitoring of production health. - Produces complete, simple, and readable technical documentation for everything developed and creates a team culture of documenting everything. - Drives code-reviews, provides technical guidance and mentors software engineers. - Collaborates closely with Engineering leadership, Product Managers, Designers, QA and other teams and business units to define, prioritize, sequence and scope business and functional requirements and drive results. - Scopes effort, identifies risks and clearly communicates trade-offs with team members and other stakeholders. - Foresees and assesses impact assessment of product (hardware, software) upgrades. - Assists in planning, coordinating, and executing engineering projects. - Supports and collaborates with other Engineers through evaluation, design analysis, and development phases. - Maintains knowledge, ensures competency and compliance with policies and procedures, in order to be the technical expert while collaborating with cross-functional teams. - This list is not all-inclusive and you are expected to perform other duties as requested or assigned.Qualifications- Degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent technical education and experience. - 7+ years of experience with Healthcare Technology; claims processing systems; batch and online. - Expertise in Creating, Maintaining and Enhancing Java code using Spring Framework - Expertise in Creating, Maintaining and Enhancing REST API - Expertise in Azure Cloud Platform Services (AKS). - Expertise in Docker Containerization with Kubernetes Orchestration. - Expertise in Azure Platform change management. - Expertise in Datadog and Azure Observability/Monitoring platform. - Expertise in DevOps/GitOps. - Experience with Production Support (Abend resolution, documentation). - Experience with Istio/Knative/Ngnix is a plus. - Experience with MetaVance Online and Batch Processing is a plus. - Knowledge of building MetaVance on a specific server is a plus. - Knowledge of MetaVance Application or any Healthcare Claims processing system is a plus. - Flexible with work schedule (supporting oncall for Production and Pre-Production environments). - Knowledge of current trends and best practices enabling sound technology choices and strategic decisions. - Spearheads the development of innovative approaches to detect, respond to, and eradicate tech debt, anti-patterns and advance threats. - Ability to research and apply innovative methodologies, latest industry trends, design patterns. - Recognizes underlying problems, opportunities, or the political forces affecting the organization. - Subject matter expert responsible for sharing expertise and insight with other engineers. - Identifies significant internal and external stakeholders and builds partnerships as part of an influencing strategy. - Demonstrates mastery in their area of expertise and are recognized as an authority on it by their peers and leaders. - Evaluates and generates options that scan the entire spectrum of software reliability, ease of adoption, scalability, operational ease, and skillset availability. - Mentors and champions cultural as well as process change. - Knowledge of agile development methodologies. - Ability to develop and maintain key vendor relationships. - Life-long learner, process improver. - Ability to understand business plans and apply that information into the development of an IT business case. - Anticipates problems, resistance or likely objections and takes action to resolve them. - Ability to guide, train and mentor associate engineers. - Highly skilled in developing quantitative cost/benefit analysis to measure improvements. - Proficient in organizational processes as well as capable of assessing and initiating change of such processes. - Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge and application of competency and can consult as well as lead others in its application. - Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills. - Knowledge of agile development methodologies. - Ability to develop and maintain key vendor relationships with a focus on technology currency and best practices.
