Duration:December 2024 to March 2025Overview:NalandaWay Foundation is looking for smart and passionate educators for implementing arts-based programmes in selected government/low-cost private schools in Delhi. The objective is to provide students with an immersive interdisciplinary art experience and equip them with skills to create musical theater productions, music and dance performances, exhibit art works and installations.You will be closely working with the school teachers and will be responsible for implementing the programme involving teacher training, teacher assistance, tracking the progress, documentation and reporting among other things.Roles and Responsibilities:Implement NalandaWay’s Arts Curriculum and Musical Theatre programme in the selected schools with the students of Grade 1 to 8 (age group 6-14) Building capacity of school teachers to lead sessions and provide assistance as and when required Facilitate art sessions (Musical Theatre, Music, Dance, Visual Arts and Media Arts) in the classrooms to achieve the objectives of the project Set-up the productions, performances and exhibitions of the students with an audience as per the calendar of the schools Report, document and track the progress through stories, case studies, photographs, etc. Monitor and evaluate the learning outcomes, and conduct base-line and end-line assessments Strengthen and focus on the social-emotional learning among children, during the facilitation of sessions and teachers’ trainings workshops Build a healthy relationship with stakeholders including school management, teachers and parents, and involve them as a part of holistic approach of the arts content To regularly document and record day-to-day activities on Google Sheets, Docs, Slides, forms, etc. and upload pictures on Google Drive Any other task as assigned by ManagerKey Skills and Competencies:Minimum: A Bachelor's degree in any discipline (preferably arts or social sciences) At least 1-2 years of experience of working, engaging and conducting sessions with children (volunteering experience also considered) Ability to engage and work with children, and facilitate art-based sessions Comfortable with working on the field and schools Sensitive and inclusive while working with children Ability to conduct teachers training and capacity building in an inspiring way Creative and smart in engaging with different stakeholders Fluent in speaking, reading and writing both Hindi and English Ability to use Canva and other tools including AI will be a plusPreferred Skills and Qualifications:Candidates from theatre, music, dance, visual arts and media background are preferred Candidates with experience of working with children or having worked in government schools preferredLocation:Ambedkar Nagar and Khanpur, Delhi Salary offered:INR22,000 to INR 25,000 per month (based on educational qualification and experience of the applicant)To apply for the role, please fill out thisapplication form .
