Job Title: Director – Carbon Markets & Offtaker RelationsLocation: Global / Hybrid Employment Type: Full-TimeRole OverviewAs a Director – Carbon Markets & Offtaker Relations focused on Voluntary Carbon Markets and Article 6 mechanisms, you will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with mid- and senior-level stakeholders across leading organizations. The role’s primary objective is to drive and close transactions aligned with client requirements and overall business strategy.This position offers an opportunity to operate in a fast-evolving global market, trading environmental commodities such as carbon offsets, renewable energy credits, and sustainability-linked instruments across sectors including energy, agriculture, and nature.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive carbon credit sales strategy across voluntary and compliance marketsIdentify new market opportunities, pricing mechanisms, and emerging trends in carbon marketsBuild and maintain a strong pipeline of offtakers and buyersConduct market research on environmental commodities and contribute to growth initiativesRepresent the organization in industry forums, conferences, and client engagementsProvide strategic insights on carbon pricing, buyer demand, and policy developmentsTrack regulatory, compliance, and voluntary market changesCollaborate with internal teams to align project pipeline with market demandWork closely with growth, finance, and legal teams to structure commercial dealsSupport marketing and positioning efforts within global carbon marketsKey Requirements (Must Have)Native or bilingual proficiency in EnglishBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field8–12 years of experience in carbon trading, brokering, or business developmentStrong business development skills including networking, client acquisition, and deal closureProficiency in data handling and relevant IT toolsAdvanced Excel skills are a plusPreferred Profile (Good to Have)Understanding of carbon markets and the global climate ecosystemFamiliarity with Article 6 mechanisms under international climate frameworksStrong problem-solving mindset with a proactive, entrepreneurial approachWork Environment & CultureFast-paced, high-growth environment at the intersection of sustainability, finance, and global marketsCollaborative and impact-driven cultureOpportunity to engage with global stakeholders and marketsBenefits & PerksFlexible / hybrid working environmentComprehensive health and wellness benefitsGenerous leave policiesAnnual team offsite / retreat
