Job Title: Group Chief Economic Advisor Location: Mumbai Annual CTC Range- Upto 2 crores. Educational Qualification (As on 31.03.2026) Mandatory: Masters level degree in Economics with specialization in Monetary / Financial Economics or Econometrics from a recognized Indian / Foreign University / Institute. Preferred: Doctorate Degree in areas of Money / Banking / International Finance from a recognized University will be preferred. Post-Qualification Experience (As on 31.03.2026) Essential Experience: Minimum 15 years' work experience as an Economist in a Commercial Bank / Financial Institution or other reputed Corporate Organization or Teaching experience as Lecturer / Professor in Economics in a College / University or combined experience as an Economist and in teaching. Should possess excellent communication skills supported by participation in various economic fora. - Contribution to leading publications will be an added advantage. Experience Certificate/Any other Document evidencing the relevant/essential experience needs to be submitted by the applicant. Document(s) submitted by the candidate will be considered on merit at the sole discretion of the Bank and Bank’s decision shall be final. Job Profile Role: The Group Chief Economic Advisor is a strategic role to serve as the Bank’s principal economic expert who shall head the Bank’s Economic Research Department at Bank’s Corporate Centre, Mumbai and will be responsible for providing strategic inputs on various National and Global economic developments to the Top Management of the Bank and also contribute to the formulation of strategy and policy. Job Responsibility for the post of GCEA is as under: a) Provide strategic economic insights to the Bank's top management. b) Analyze macroeconomic trends, monetary policy, fiscal developments, and global economic conditions. c) Prepare periodic economic outlook reports for internal decision-making. d) Support business strategy, treasury operations, and risk management with economic forecasts. e) Represent the Bank in economic forums, policy discussions, and industry interactions where required. f) Guide the economic research team of the Bank, if any.
