Role : Global Head - Total RewardsLocation : BengaluruReports to : Global CHRO JOB SUMMARYServe at the leader of Ascendion's total rewards function across all geographies — defining compensation philosophy, designing reward frameworks, running compensation cycles, managing benefits programs, and ensuring governance and statutory compliance while positioning Ascendion as a competitive employer in the AI native tech services space.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESTotal Rewards StrategyDefine and maintain Total Rewards philosophy aligned to business growth and competitivenessDesign rewards architecture (fixed, variable, benefits, incentives) across geographiesAlign performance, career progression, and compensationOwn job architecture, leveling, and salary bandsDefine geographic pay, mobility, and deployment policiesPartner with HR and Finance on talent strategy alignmentTotal Rewards Budgeting & PlanningLead annual compensation planning and budgetingPartner with Finance on bonus pool sizing and cost planningSupport workforce planning with compensation insightsDrive cost optimization across rewards programsContribute to long-range financial planningCompensation Program Design & AdministrationDesign merit increases, promotions, and hiring pay structuresGovern joining bonuses, retention bonuses, and bench payManage annual increment cycle executionHandle promotion cycles and off-cycle adjustmentsDesign and manage bonus and variable pay programsLead sales incentive plans (SIP)Oversee payout execution and payroll coordinationManage leadership retention programsBenefits Design & AdministrationDefine global benefits strategy and policiesLead annual benefits renewal and vendor negotiationsManage employee communication on benefitsEnsure statutory compliance across geographiesOversee visa-linked benefits with LegalContracts, Governance & ComplianceEstablish compensation policies and approval frameworksManage exceptions and escalationsConduct pay equity reviewsEnsure compliance with labor laws and regulationsGovern special compensation casesMarket Intelligence & AnalyticsLead benchmarking using external surveysAnalyze labor market trends and pay differentialsMonitor macroeconomic and regulatory trendsDevelop predictive analytics for attrition and payTranslate insights into compensation strategiesExecutive CompensationDesign executive compensation frameworksSupport board-level compensation decisionsDevelop long-term incentive strategiesAlign executive pay with performanceEnsure governance and confidentialityKEY SKILLSStrong command of compensation frameworks — job architecture, grading, benchmarking, and pay bandsExperience with variable pay design (bonus plans, SIPs) in IT services or consulting environmentsProficiency in HR ERP / compensation tools(Workday, SuccessFactors, or equivalent)Knowledge of multi-country statutory compliance — India labour laws, US H1B / LCA, PhilippinesData literacy — Power BI, Excel modelling, compensation analyticsVendor management experience — benefits brokers, survey vendors, actuariesREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEPostgraduate degreein HR, Finance, or Management15+ yearsof HR experience with at least 10 years specializing in C&B, preferably in a leading IT/Engineering organizationExposure to multi-geography compensation across India, US, and Southeast Asia (Philippines and Indonesia)Agentic AI Solution / IT services experience preferredWorking knowledge of US immigration-linked compensation (H1B / L1) preferredAbout usAscendion is a leader in AI-powered software engineering, helping businesses innovate faster, smarter, and with greater impact.
