Job Description – Windows Administrator (EMS Factory) Position: Windows System Administrator Location: EMS Factory Role Summary The Windows Administrator will be responsible for managing, supporting, and securing the Windows-based IT infrastructure within the EMS factory environment. This includes servers, endpoints, Active Directory, production systems, and factory floor devices. The role ensures high availability, performance, and compliance with IT and security standards. Key Responsibilities Server & OS Management · Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server (2016/2019/2022). · Manage server roles such as AD DS, DNS, DHCP, File Server, Print Server, WSUS, IIS. · Perform OS hardening, updates, and performance tuning. Active Directory & Identity Management · Manage user accounts, groups, OU structure, and GPO creation/troubleshooting. · Perform periodic access audits for factory systems (MES, SFIS/SFCS, ERP). · Ensure adherence to identity and access security standards. Factory Environment Support · Support Windows machines connected to production lines (MES, testing PCs, operator stations). · Coordinate with manufacturing teams for downtime, maintenance, and troubleshooting. · Maintain system stability during production-critical hours. Patch & Update Management · Manage Windows updates using WSUS/Intune/SCCM. · Coordinate patch deployment without affecting production operations. · Prepare patch compliance and vulnerability remediation reports. Backup, Recovery & Data Protection · Manage backup solutions such as Veeam or Azure Backup. · Perform regular backup validation and restore testing. · Support disaster recovery planning and execution. Endpoint Management · Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 clients. · Manage antivirus/EDR solutions (Defender, CrowdStrike, McAfee). · Support imaging, deployment, and device policy management (SCCM/Intune). Network & Security Coordination · Work with network and InfoSec teams on policies and compliance. · Support AD-based authentication for network devices and critical systems. · Assist with audit requirements (ISO 27001, OEM/Customer audits). Documentation & Reporting · Maintain documentation for servers, AD structure, and GPO policies. · Prepare system health check reports and performance logs. · Create SOPs for operational tasks and change requests. Required Skills & Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. · 3–6 years of experience as a Windows Administrator. · Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016–2022), Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS/DHCP/WSUS. · Basic to intermediate PowerShell scripting skills. · Knowledge of backup and restore operations. · Experience managing antivirus/EDR tools. · Preferred experience in factory/production environments. · Knowledge of virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) is a plus. · Preferred certifications: MCSA, MCSE, AZ-104, ITIL. Soft Skills · Strong communication and coordination skills. · Ability to work under pressure in a production environment. · Proactive attitude with good analytical troubleshooting skills. · Ability to collaborate with cross-functional factory teams.
