Role SummaryThe Azure Architect / Senior Engineer designs, builds, and supports secure, scalable cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. This role blends hands‑on engineering with architecture leadership—owning technical decisions, setting standards, and guiding teams toward modern, reliable cloud solutions.You’ll partner closely with security, networking, application, and business teams to ensure Azure services are well‑designed, cost‑effective, and aligned to enterprise goals.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitecture & DesignDesign Azure solutions that are secure, scalable, and resilientDefine reference architectures, patterns, and standards for Azure usageReview and approve Azure designs created by engineers and partnersTranslate business requirements into technical Azure solutionsEngineering & OperationsBuild and maintain Azure resources using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)Lead complex deployments and migrations to AzureSupport production environments and troubleshoot complex issuesOptimize performance, reliability, and availability across Azure servicesSecurity & GovernanceDesign solutions aligned with Zero Trust and security best practices, hardening existing configurations. Implement identity, access (including Conditional Access), and networking controlsPartner with security teams on policies, audits, and risk mitigationEnforce governance using management groups, policies, and taggingCost & Performance ManagementMonitor Azure usage and costsIdentify opportunities to optimize spend without sacrificing performanceSupport budgeting, forecasting, and cost allocation by cost centerLeadership & CollaborationAct as a technical mentor for Azure engineersLead architecture reviews and technical discussionsWork closely with application teams, vendors, and business stakeholdersInfluence cloud strategy and modernization effortsRequired Skills & ExperienceAzure & CloudDeep experience with Microsoft Azure in an enterprise environmentStrong knowledge of core Azure services, including:Virtual Machines, App Services, AKSAzure Networking (VNets, VPN, ExpressRoute, firewalls)Storage, Backup, and Disaster RecoveryExperience designing high‑availability and disaster recovery solutionsIdentity, Security & NetworkingStrong experience with Azure AD / Entra IDUnderstanding of identity federation, SSO, and conditional accessSolid grasp of cloud networking and hybrid connectivityExperience implementing security controls and compliance requirementsAutomation & ToolingHands‑on experience with Terraform CI/CD pipeline experience (GitHub, Azure DevOps, or similar)Comfortable scripting with PowerShell or similar languagesProfessional Experience7+ years in infrastructure, cloud, or systems engineering3+ years designing and supporting Azure environmentsProven ability to lead technical decisions and complex initiativesPreferred QualificationsAzure certifications (Solutions Architect, Security Engineer, or similar)Experience with hybrid environments and on‑prem integrationsExposure to DevOps practices and application modernizationExperience working in regulated or large enterprise environmentsWhat Success Looks LikeAzure solutions are stable, secure, and cost‑effectiveTeams follow clear standards and architectural guidanceCloud platforms scale smoothly to support business growthThanks & RegardsPrashant AwasthiVastika Inc.
