Job Description Position: HT Design Lead HT Panel, Control Relay & Protection (CRP) Location: Derabassi Plant, Punjab Experience: 6 7 Years (HT Design Only) Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering Software Requirement: AutoCAD Role Overview We are seeking an experienced HT Design Lead with strong expertise in HT Panel Design, Control Relay & Protection (CRP) Panels. The candidate will be responsible for complete design ownership of HT panels, including SLD creation as per client requirements, protection scheme design, relay selection, and detailed engineering drawings in compliance with IEC standards. Key Responsibilities HT Panel & Electrical Design Design and engineering of 11kV / 33kV HT Panels, including: o Indoor/Outdoor ICOG Panels o Control & Relay Protection (CRP) Panels o Panel boards and associated systems Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLD) strictly as per client specifications and project requirements (mandatory skill). Develop detailed GA drawings, internal layouts, wiring diagrams, and cutout designs using AutoCAD. Standards & Compliance Ensure all designs comply with IEC 62271 and relevant international electrical standards. Apply correct IP ratings as per installation environment and project needs. Switchgear & Protection Systems Strong understanding of HT Switchgear, especially VCB (Vacuum Circuit Breakers). Design and finalize protection schemes for HT systems. Select appropriate protection relays based on: System parameters Client specifications Protection philosophy Prepare and validate interlocking schemes for safe operation of HT panels. Control, Communication & SCADA Design SCADA interface wiring schemes for monitoring and control. Knowledge and application of communication protocols used in HT panels (e.g.,Modbus, IEC protocols, etc.). Coordination of control wiring, relay logic, and signal interfacing. Project Coordination Interface with internal teams (manufacturing, testing, commissioning). Support technical discussions with clients, consultants, and inspectors. Ensure design accuracy, documentation completeness, and adherence to timelines. Required Skills & Competencies Technical Skills Strong expertise in HT Panel Design (11kV & 33kV) Excellent knowledge of: o VCB-based HT switchgear o IEC 62271 standard o Protection relays and schemes o Interlocking logic o SCADA interface wiring o Communication protocols Mandatory ability to create SLDs independently as per client requirements. Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical design and detailing. Experience 6 7 years of exclusive experience in HT Design (mandatory). Hands-on experience in ICOG panels, CRP panels, and HT panel boards. Behavioral Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and quality-focused approach. Ability to work independently as a design lead. Preferred Candidate Profile Experience in manufacturing-based electrical panel industries. Exposure to client-facing technical discussions and approvals. Knowledge of testing and commissioning requirements of HT panels is an added advantage.
