What Youll Be Doing (position summary): The Application Consultant - Integration is accountable for architecting, developing, and delivering robust integration solutions that support CIBCs mission-critical business processes This role leverages advanced technologies, including IBM DataPower, XSLT, XSD, and Java, to enable seamless application connectivity and empower business transformation The incumbent acts as a technical leader, driving innovation, mentoring junior developers, and collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into high-impact integration solutions At CIBC India we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. How Youll Succeed (responsibilities): Architect and implement integration solutions using IBM DataPower, XSLT, XSD, and Java, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance. Lead mission-critical integration projects from design through deployment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless application connectivity. Mentor junior developers, share best practices, and champion code quality and innovation within the team. Utilize AI tools to accelerate coding, testing, and troubleshooting, driving efficiency and innovation in development workflows. Leverage GitHub and Jenkins to streamline development processes, automate deployments, and enhance overall efficiency. Analyze and resolve complex integration issues, proactively identifying opportunities to optimize and future-proof the technology stack. Partner with business and technology leaders to translate requirements into high-impact solutions, driving value and competitive advantage for CIBC. CROSS-FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Collaborates with cross-functional teams across Technology, Business, and Operations to deliver seamless integration solutions. Works closely with business and technology leaders to understand requirements and align integration strategies with organizational objectives. Interacts with external vendors and partners as needed to implement and support integration technologies. As an employee of CIBC, the incumbent must comply with all applicable CIBC and Line of Business policies, standards, guidelines and controls. As a key contributor to the business unit, this job has the authority to recommend changes to business processes in order to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Experience: 5+ years of experience Who You Are (skills/qualifications): Must Have Skills: 5+ years of hands-on experience in application development with a focus on IBM DataPower, XSLT, XSD,. Proficiency with modern DevOps tools including GitHub for version control. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. A passion for technology and a drive to deliver best-in-class integration solutions. Good to have Skills: Java, Jenkins, AI tools supporting software development.
