The Buying & Merchandising Associate will play a vital role in supporting our sampling coordination and vendor management processes. With a focus on textiles and garments, this position involves ensuring timely communication and documentation, ultimately contributing to efficient product development and profitability.Key Responsibilities: Maintain sampling trackers and production timelines to ensure deadlines are met. Assist with cost sheets, Bill of Materials (BOM) documentation, and vendor quotations to support financial accuracy. Follow up regularly with embroidery units, textile vendors, and garment manufacturers for seamless operations. Support inventory tracking of fabrics and trims used for sampling for optimum stock management. Help build and update vendor databases and conduct costing comparisons to enhance procurement strategies.Requirements: 2–4 years of experience in buying, merchandising, or a related field within the fashion/textile industry. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with inventory management software. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with vendors and internal teams. A basic understanding of textile and garment production processes.Preferred Qualifications: Experience working directly with vendors and manufacturers in a sampling environment. Familiarity with costing methodologies and pricing strategies specific to textiles. Ability to analyze cost data and make informed purchasing recommendations. Knowledge of sustainable sourcing practices and ethical fashion principles.
