Job Description

The Calibration & MSA Engineer is a critical technical role responsible for ensuring measurement accuracy, traceability, and capability across wafer-fab process control and metrology. The role establishes and continuously improves the calibration management system and MSA framework aligned to ISO/IEC 17025, customer requirements, and internal QMS.Key Responsibilities Own the Fab-wide calibration management system for process, inline/offline metrology, measurement, and laboratory equipment. Define calibration strategies and intervals using risk-based criticality. Ensure measurement traceability to national/international standards and maintain ISO/IEC 17025 compliant calibration records. Manage internal and external calibration providers; qualify suppliers and monitor performance (TAT, quality, traceability, uncertainty statements). Drive calibration readiness for advanced tools (e.g., lithography-critical metrology, CD/overlay metrology, thin-film measurement, defect inspection). Address environmental contributors (temperature, humidity, vibration, cleanliness) impacting measurement uncertainty and metrology stability. Plan and execute MSA studies (Gage R&R, bias, linearity, stability) for critical Fab measurements (CD, overlay, thickness, defectivity, etc.). Serve as SME during internal audits, customer audits, and certification audits for calibration/metrology processes. Maintain audit-ready documentation (procedures, WI, templates) and evidence for ISO/IEC 17025 compliance and traceability. Lead nonconformity investigations and CAPA closure related to measurement system failures, overdue calibration, or traceability gaps. Support management reviews with calibration/MSA KPIs (overdue rate, OOT events, uncertainty trends, supplier performance). Maintain controlled documentation and electronic records for calibration and MSA with strong data integrity practices. Administer calibration tools/databases; improve workflows and reporting.Qualification Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent ISO/IEC 17025 certification (Internal Auditor) – mandatory. 5+ years (Senior) / 8+ years (Principal) experience in calibration, metrology, and MSA within semiconductor wafer foundry. Strong working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements (traceability, uncertainty, method control, records, equipment control). Hands-on experience with MSA methods (Gage R&R, bias, linearity, stability) and statistical analysis tools. Demonstrated capability to support/host audits and close findings via structured root cause and CAPA. Strong technical documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
