Company DescriptionThe Soil Scientist will be responsible for conducting soil sampling, testing, and analysis of physicochemical parameters to assess soil health and fertility. The role involves operating and maintaining soil testing laboratory instruments such as pH meter, EC meter, spectrophotometer, Kjeldahl apparatus, flame photometer, atomic absorption spectrophotometer, and gas chromatography systems. The candidate will record, analyze, and interpret soil data using standard scientific methods and translate technical results into farmer-friendly soil health reports. The position requires maintaining proper documentation and reports as per project guidelines, supporting research and development activities related to soil nutrient dynamics, , and contributing to recommendations for improving soil health. The candidate should possess good analytical skills, proficiency in MS Office or relevant data analysis tools, and willingness to travel to field locations as required.Key responsibilities:·Conduct soil sampling and perform analysis of physicochemical and biological soil parameters using standard scientific methods.·Operate, calibrate, and maintain soil testing laboratory instruments including pH meter, EC meter, spectrophotometer, Kjeldahl apparatus, flame photometer, atomic absorption spectrophotometer, and related equipment.·Record, compile, and interpret analytical data for assessment of soil fertility, nutrient status, and microbial activity.·Prepare clear and farmer-friendly soil health reports with appropriate recommendations for soil improvement.·Maintain accurate documentation, laboratory records, and technical reports in accordance with project guidelines and quality standards.Salary range: Rs. 30,000/- pmJob location: SRISTI lab, Amrapur, Gandhinagar-Mahudi Road, GandhinagarJob Types: Full-time, Contractual / TemporaryContract length: 11 monthsExperience: 1 year (Preferred)Apply here- any queries, contact us at lab@
