Job Title: Production Merchandiser – Belts (Export House)Location: Chennai on siteIndustry: Leather Goods Manufacturing – Export (Belts)Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Production Merchandiser for belts with 6–8 years of experience in an export-oriented leather goods manufacturing environment. The role requires strong expertise in managing international buyer requirements, end-to-end order execution, and ensuring adherence to strict timelines and compliance standards. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, detail-driven, and capable of performing under pressure in a fast-paced export setup.Key Responsibilities• Manage complete order execution for export orders from development handover to final shipment• Act as the primary point of contact for international buyers for all order-related communication• Prepare and closely monitor Time & Action (T&A) calendars to ensure on-time deliveries in line with shipment schedules• Coordinate with internal teams (sampling, production, quality, and logistics) to ensure seamless order flow• Follow up on raw material readiness (leather, buckles, trims, packaging) with the sourcing team to avoid production delays• Ensure timely approvals of PP samples, lab dips, color standards, packaging, and bulk production submissions• Track production progress and proactively resolve any issues impacting timelines or quality• Ensure all buyer specifications, quality standards, testing requirements, and compliance protocols are met• Coordinate with QA and logistics teams for final inspections, documentation, and shipment readiness• Maintain accurate order status reports, shipment trackers, and documentation for buyers and internal review• Handle multiple orders and urgent requirements efficiently under tight deadlinesKey Skills & Competencies• Strong understanding of export merchandising processes and documentation• In-depth knowledge of belt construction, materials, and production processes would be a plus• Excellent communication skills for managing international buyers• Strong planning, coordination, and follow-up skills• Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities• High attention to detail and problem-solving approach• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systemsPreferred Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Merchandising, Supply Chain, or related field• 6–8 years of experience in production merchandising within an export house (leather goods preferred)• Experience handling US/EU/Japan buyers is highly desirable• Familiarity with compliance, testing standards, and export documentationWhat We Offer• Opportunity to work with leading international brands• Dynamic and fast-paced export environment• Competitive compensation with growth opportunities
