Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Development • Conduct market visit /research and surveys to understand and specify requirements for target markets • Help in creating Mood Boards and themes for the season • Review original content and coordinate with designers on sample design finalization • Order Placement to Supply Chain/ DP Vendor for sample development/ final range • Share creative briefs with Supply Chain for range development and review progress on range development • Interactions with PHs on detailed requirements for the season and the explanation of brief • Create sample cost after the range is ready; Ensuring sample cost aligns to GP targets • Archive all Designer/comp samples for future discussion/reference • Maintain the sampling tracker defining supplier details / sample status and updating it on a continuous basisMarket Trends & Analysis • Study new designs & trends • Market information and awareness of trends • Evolve the catalogue & maintain style wise catalogue • Maintain bank of designs, swatch in the market with competition & benchmarking competition prices. • Archive all Designs/samples for future discussion/reference • Maintain research data bank • Prepare for internal range presentations up to the MRH & consolidate feedback on the rangePhoto-shoots and promotions • Coordinate with the B&M department for market promotions and VM material • Ensure availability of products for photo-shoots to B&M departmentPricing • Define and close the final cost post-product selection prior to the MRH as per the GP target.Order Management • Place orders on Fabconnect as per buying budget and agreed timeline • Provide pre-production sample approval to vendor • Ensure complete range is launched on web store simultaneously with the promotions • Archive all Best Seller Samples • Maintain Range Room sample and Range Book and range bookVendor Management • Identify new business opportunities (with DP and JW vendors) and transfer leads to SCM • Transfer DP vendor information to SCM and participate in DP vendor management along with SCMMiscellaneous • Visit stores and competition on a regular basis to identify new market trends • Regular follow ups with adopted Stores to identify & fulfill the GapsKnowledge & Skills: Experience of 3-5 years into Merchandising, Sampling and Product Development Fabindia Product Knowledge Sampling (Sourcing & Vendor Management) Merchandising Costing MIS
