Responsibilities:Troubleshooting:Identify and fix technical issues such as low-resolution images, incorrect bleeds, or overprinting errors. File Preparation & Preflighting:Review client-supplied digital files to ensure they meet technical printing standards, checking for proper resolution, font inclusion, and image formats (PDF, TIFF, EPS). Imposition & Layout:Arrange multiple pages or artworks onto a single large press sheet to maximize efficiency and account for binding and trimming requirements. Color Management:Calibrate and adjust color profiles, perform trapping (to prevent gaps between colors), and execute color separations (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black). Proofing:Generate digital or physical proofs for client review to verify accuracy before the final print run begins.Candidate requirement:Software Proficiency:Expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator & Photoshop) and specialized prepress workflow software like Esko Plate & Desk Pack. Technical Knowledge:Deep understanding of offset printing mechanics, dot gain, ink density, and paper substrates. Attention to Detail:Exceptional focus is required to catch minute errors in typography, alignment, or color consistency.
