Job Title: Legal Executive – Media & Entertainment (IPR Focus) Location:Kolkata (with frequent travel across East India) Job Type:On-site Experience:1-2 yearsRole: We are seeking a dynamic Legal Executive with 1–2 years of experience in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), rights acquisition, and media & entertainment law. The role involves supporting legal operations related to content rights, licensing, and compliance within the media and entertainment ecosystem.Key Responsibilities Assist inrights acquisitionprocesses, including reviewing, drafting, and negotiating agreements for content licensing and distribution. Support legal advisory onIntellectual Property Rights (IPR)including copyright, trademarks, and related laws. Draft, review, and vet contracts such as licensing agreements, artist agreements, production agreements, and NDAs. Conduct legal due diligence for content acquisition and partnerships. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal policies within the media & entertainment domain. Coordinate with internal teams (content, production, business) to address legal requirements. Maintain documentation and records of agreements and legal correspondences. Monitor and flag potential IP infringements or legal risks.Must-Have Skills & Qualifications Education:LLB / LLM from a recognized institution. Experience:1–2 years of relevant experience in legal roles, preferably in media & entertainment. Strong understanding ofIPR laws , especially copyright and licensing frameworks. Hands-on experience inrights acquisition and content-related agreements . Familiarity with themedia and entertainment industry ecosystem(digital, TV, film, OTT platforms). Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills.Preferred Skills (Good to Have) Exposure to digital content platforms or OTT services. Understanding of international content licensing frameworks. Prior experience working with production houses, studios, or broadcasters.
