Job Role: Execution Head – Solar (GM / Sr.GM / AVP) Job Location: Thane, MumbaiJob Description Lead the execution of solar projects (ground-mounted) from mobilization to commissioning. Ensure projects are delivered within scope, budget, quality and timelines. Develop detailed project schedules, monitor progress and mitigate risks proactively. Coordinate with engineering, procurement and design teams to ensure smooth execution. Oversee site activities including civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation works. Lead and manage site execution teams, contractors and sub-contractors. Allocate resources effectively across projects. Act as the single point of contact for clients, consultants and internal stakeholders during execution. Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with agreements. Implement and enforce HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) protocols at all project sites. Ensure statutory, regulatory and contractual compliances are met. Conduct regular quality audits and inspections. Monitor project budgets, cost control measures and cash flows. Approve contractor bills, variation claims and ensure timely invoicing & certifications. Optimize resource utilization to improve margins. Provide periodic MIS/reports on project status to management. Identify execution challenges and recommend corrective/preventive actions. Drive continuous improvement in execution efficiency and processes.Key Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent project management skills with knowledge of Primavera/MS Project. In-depth knowledge of solar project execution (civil, structural, electrical). Understanding of PV modules, inverters, transformers, switchgear. Strong negotiation, vendor management and stakeholder coordination skills. Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability. Awareness of latest solar technologies and EPC best practices.Qualification & Experience Bachelor’s degree in electrical/ mechanical/ civil engineering. 16–20 years of experience in EPC/project execution, with at least 7–10 years in solar industry. Proven track record of handling large-scale (50 MW+) solar projects. Exposure to both ground-mounted and rooftop projects preferred. Knowledge of regulatory norms, DISCOM coordination and statutory approvals.
