JOB DETAILS Job Title Senior General Manager-Operations (India & Sharjah) JOB OBJECTIVES Responsible for driving end to end operational performance across manufacturing plants in India & Sharjah along with supply chain and imports and exports. The role provides leadership and governance to Plant Heads & EXIM function ensuring alignment to business objectives, operational discipline, and consistent performance across cost, quality, delivery, and productivity. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Manufacturing & Multi-Plant Operations Oversee operations across India & Sharjah plants, ensuring standardisation and consistency. Drive alignment across plants on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. Support Plants Heads in resolving critical operational challenges and improving performance. Lead capacity planning and operational scalability initiatives Business Performance & Execution Drive overall operational performance across manufacturing plants and function. Ensure delivery of production targets, cost efficiency, and operational KPIS. Improve cost competitiveness through productivity enhancement, yield improvement and cost optimization. Track performance through dashboards and drive corrective actions where required. Supply Chain, Imports/Exports (EXIM). Oversee end to end supply chain operations, including procurement, planning, inventory and logistics. Drive improvements in OTIF (On Time In Full), inventory turns, and working capital efficiency. Strengthen sourcing strategy through localization, and supplier development. Ensure alignment between production, planning, procurement and planning. Operational Excellence & Integration Establish and institutionalise a common Production & Operating system across all plants. Drive process standardisation and best practices sharing across locations. Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and practical execution tools. Strengthen plant culture, accountability, and operational discipline. Leadership Governance Provide overall leadership to Plant Heads and EXIM Head, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Establish clear goals, performance metrics, and accountability frameworks for all direct reports. Drive structured review mechanism (daily/weekly/monthly) to monitor performance and take corrective actions. Ensure strong governance, discipline, and decision-making across operating units. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION’S Minimum Qualification Bachelor degree in Engineering/Post Graduation in Management Years and Nature of Experience Minimum 20 years of experience in manufacturing led organization. Proven experience in managing multi-plant operations including leadership of Plant Heads and CFT’s. Demonstrated experience handling complex operational structures covering manufacturing, supply chain, and EXIM functions. Proven experience managing operations in a manufacturing business with annual turnover of Rs 300-500 Cr or above.
