Job Description

Purpose: Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing R&D Product Development team in India. Focus on the development of a growth-oriented portfolio across all our business lines. Align strategies and processes with global development centres for product development, including technology, ingredient and botanicals development. Support scientific credibility to build a favourable reputation for Amway science and products. Align with key stakeholders, including MD, Marketing, Regulatory, Quality, and Supply Chain to meet growth priorities.Lead the product development team in alignment with the Business Line Product Development Leaders at center, and as a member of the India Executive Team. Provide a single Product Development voice for communication, alignment and support of LRBP strategies, key priorities, risks and capability improvements. Align with key stakeholders to identify and develop innovative products and solutions aligned with local business needs and work together to drive execution of Core product coming from the center Team. Responsible for developing organizational capabilities to deliver innovative, regionally relevant and differentiated, high impact products and solutions that result in increased revenue and enhanced ABO engagement.Responsibilities: Product Development Responsible for working with market leaders to gather market-specific insights, develop local Product Development capabilities, portfolio and processes to ensure market-relevant product development with in-depth knowledge in local consumer needs and developing trends.Provide communication, alignment and support of market strategies’ (LRBP, AOP) key priorities, risks and capability improvements.Responsible for establishing high performing Product Development organization that leverages synergies with Amway development centres, LRBP priorities including increased focus on Product Development, abilities for fast to market and differentiated products and solutions.Support local promotions, storytelling and commercial innovation through consistent application on Amway standards.Partner with local and global Marketing to provide market insights that help develop and deliver a balanced, consistent, innovative product pipeline.Implements global product introductionsSupports overall RPI market strategy as an ambassador to ABO and government / regulatory and trade bodies to ensure favourable business and product environment.Cultivate relationships with local suppliers, universities, research institutions, etc on behalf of Amway R&D in alignment Global R&D.Coach, motivate, and develop high calibre team and inspiring and collaborative working environment.Provide relevant market insights to Center, partner with Center Product Development leaders to build strategy and innovation plans and implement the global and local innovation for Emerging MarketsResponsible for Formulation, Process Engineers, Packaging Engineers, Product Development Specialists and in some cases clinical investigationsManage assigned budgets.Ensure early inclusion of teams in product development process.
