Professionalism Optimal innovation Empathetic care Teamwork Integrity Continual learning Service Job Summary The Principal – Allied Health Sciences is responsible for the overall academic, administrative, and operational leadership of the Allied Health Science institute. The role involves ensuring high standards in education, managing faculty and students, maintaining regulatory compliance, and strengthening academic–clinical integration with the hospital. Key Responsibilities 1. Academic Leadership Plan, implement, and monitor academic programs for Allied Health Science courses. Ensure curriculum delivery as per university and regulatory guidelines. Promote quality teaching, research activities, and continuous learning among faculty and students. Develop new courses and training programs aligned with healthcare industry needs. 2. Administrative Management Oversee day-to-day functioning of the Allied Health Science institution. Manage faculty recruitment, training, and performance evaluation. Ensure discipline, academic integrity, and smooth academic operations. 3. Student Management Supervise student admissions, orientation, academic progress, and placements. Address student concerns and ensure a supportive learning environment. Encourage skill development, clinical exposure, and professional ethics. 4. Clinical Coordination Coordinate with hospital departments for clinical postings and practical training. Ensure students gain hands-on exposure in diagnostic, therapeutic, and patient care services. 5. Regulatory Compliance Ensure compliance with university norms, healthcare education standards, and accreditation requirements. Maintain academic records, reports, and documentation for audits and inspections. 6. Strategic Development Develop policies and strategies to enhance the institute’s academic reputation. Build collaborations with healthcare institutions and industry partners. Support research, seminars, workshops, and academic conferences. Qualification Master’s Degree or PhD in Allied Health Sciences / Healthcare Management / relevant healthcare discipline. Minimum 10–15 years of experience in Allied Health education or hospital-based academic administration. Prior experience in a leadership role such as Vice Principal / HOD / Academic Coordinator preferred.
