Job Description

Role : System AdministratorPosition Summary: We are looking for an IT Infrastructure Support Engineer (L1) to provide day-to-day operational support for servers, firewalls, Linux basic administration, network troubleshooting, and hardware break-fix. The role involves monitoring infrastructure, handling tickets, resolving user and system issues within SLA, escalating to L2/L3 when required, and maintaining.Responsibilities Maintain system efficiency Ensure system design allows all components to work together properly Make recommendations for upgrades Evaluate and modify system performance Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux operating systems across physical and virtual environments Monitor system performance and availability; escalate issues as needed Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues including desktops, laptops, servers, and peripherals Support basic network administration tasks including connectivity troubleshooting, IP configuration, and switch/router maintenance Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and incident logs Perform routine backup sand assist in disaster recovery testing Apply OS patches and software updates in a timely and controlled manner Respond to help desk tickets and provide Tier 1/2 technical support to end users Assist with procurement, asset tracking, and inventory managementQualifications Exp : 1-3 YearsOperating System Hands-on experience with Windows10/11 Working knowledge of Linux distributions (Ubuntu) Familiarity with command-line interfaces for both Windows (PowerShell/CMD) and Linux (Bash) Networking Understanding of core networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and subnetting Ability to troubleshoot basic LAN/WAN connectivity issues Experience with network tools such as ping, traceroute, nslookup, and netstat Hardware Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware failures (RAM, HDD/SSD, PSU, NIC) Experience assembling, upgrading, and maintaining desktops and servers Familiarity with BIOS/UEFI configuration and POST diagnostics General Basic understanding of IT security principles (user access control, patch management) Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting methodology Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
