Lead / Manager Finance Department:FinanceRole Overview We are seeking an experienced Lead/Manager Finance to manage and oversee all financial and accounting operations at the plant level. This role will ensureaccurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, strong internal controls, and efficient working capital management . The position will play a critical role in supporting plant operations by providingfinancial insights, cost analysis, and strategic recommendations to improve operational efficiency and profitability . Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Accounting Lead the preparation and closure ofmonthly and annual financial accounts for the plant . Ensure compliance with establishedaccounting policies, standards, and internal financial controls . Oversee the preparation and submission ofmonthly MIS reportsto management. Manage plant-levelfixed asset accounting and asset register maintenancein accordance with company policies. Coordinate and supportstatutory audits and internal audit processesat the plant. Budgeting, Cost Monitoring & Financial Analysis Drive the preparation ofannual and periodic budgetsin collaboration with the Plant Head. Reviewbudget versus actual performanceand highlight key variances to leadership. Track and controlplant operating costs, including fixed and variable expenses . Perform detailedvariance analysis on conversion costs and production expenses . Monitorinventory valuation, costing, and price variance trends . Identify and recommendcost optimization and efficiency improvement opportunities . Provide analytical insights to supportstrategic and operational decisions . Capital Expenditure Management Evaluatecapital investment proposalsand provide financial recommendations for approval. Track and reviewcapital project expenditures and budget utilization . Assess thereturn on investment (ROI) and projected savings versus actual resultsfor Capex initiatives. Work closely with the Finance leadership team to ensureeffective control of capital spending . Cash Flow & Fund Management Overseecash flow planning and fund utilizationat the plant level. Ensuretimely payments to vendors and service providersin accordance with company policies. Supervisepayroll processing and employee paymentsto ensure accuracy and timeliness. Maintain strong financial discipline in themanagement of plant funds and operational expenses . Working Capital Management Prepare and manageworking capital forecastsin collaboration with key plant departments. Ensure accurate accounting ofraw materials, work-in-progress, waste, and finished goods inventory . Partner with operations and supply chain teams tooptimize working capital utilization . Regulatory & Statutory Compliance Ensure adherence to all relevant statutory regulations includingIncome Tax, Commercial Taxes, Excise, PF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity, and Companies Act requirements . Ensure timely filing and payment of statutory obligations such asTDS, TCS, PF, ESIC, and other applicable levies . Maintain fixed asset records in line withIndian Accounting StandardsandInternational Financial Reporting Standardsguidelines. Liaise withgovernment authorities and statutory bodiesfor approvals, reporting, and compliance matters. Address internal audit observations and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Team Leadership Lead and mentor theplant finance team , ensuring high levels of performance and accountability. Work with HR to supporttraining and capability development initiativesfor the team. Conductperformance reviews and provide regular coaching and feedbackto team members. Candidate Profile Education QualifiedChartered AccountantorCost and Management Accountant Experience 8–10 years of experience infinance and accounting , preferably inmanufacturing or plant finance environments .
