The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end month-end close activities, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, performing complex reconciliations, and supporting financial planning through budgeting and forecasting. This role is critical in maintaining the financial integrity and accuracy of CIR’s US operations.Core Responsibilities Financial Accounting & Close Process Complete the full cycle month-end close, including preparation and review of journal entries, complex accruals, amortization schedules, and intercompany eliminations.Ensure timely and accurate closing of books in line with internal timelines and reporting requirements.Maintain detailed supporting schedules for key accounts.General Ledger & Compliance Audit the General Ledger (GL) to ensure all transactions comply with relevant accounting standards, including US GAAP.Identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring data accuracy and financial integrity.Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as required.Reconciliations & Controls Handle high-stakes and complex reconciliations, including:Multi-currency bank accountsInvestment portfoliosIntricate balance sheet accountsInvestigate variances and ensure proper resolution with strong documentation.Strengthen internal controls and accounting processes.Budgeting & Forecasting Support the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly rolling forecasts.Assist in analysing revenue trends, cost structures, and cash flow requirements.Provide financial insights to support business decision-making.Stakeholder Collaboration Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and leadership.Coordinate with US stakeholders and internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related fieldProfessional certifications such as CA, CPA, ACCA, or CMA are a strong plusTechnical Skills and Experience Required Experience 4–6 years of experience in accounting or finance (more experience is acceptable; less than 4 years will not be considered).Strong background in US accounting, preferably from a KPO or similar environment.Hands-on experience with month-end close, GL accounting, and reconciliations.Software & Tools Experience working with accounting systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP, or similar ERP systems.Strong proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups, financial models).Experience with multi-currency accounting environments is highly desirable.Psychosocial Skills /Human Skills/Behavioural Skills Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Project Management experience a plus.Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take ideas and run with them from concept to conclusion.Technical understanding of clean energy business processesExceptional verbal and writing communication skills with superiors, peers, partners, and other stakeholders.Excellent interpersonal skills while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
