Job Title: Group Chief Data Officer (CDO)Location: Kolkata / West Bengal.Reports to: Group CEO / Group CTO / Board of DirectorsExperience Required: 15+ years in Data strategy, Data Analytics, Data Governance , EDP , Data Accessibility / Availability. Track record of strong understanding of Hardware, Software, Firmware, Cloud Computing & Data Convergence as per the evolving business exigencies . Strong team leadership/management skills desired. Qualification: Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or related fields. (MBA or PhD is a plus) .Position SummaryThe Group Chief Data Officer (CDO) is responsible for defining and implementing enterprise-wide data and analytics strategy across the group companies. As a key member of the leadership team, the CDO drives data-driven decision-making, ensures data quality and compliance, and aligns data strategy with business objectives across all group entities.Key Responsibilities1. Data Strategy & Vision- Develop and lead the implementation of a unified data strategy for the group. - Align data initiatives with business goals, digital transformation, and innovation objectives. - Identify opportunities for data monetization, cost optimization, and business growth using analytics.2. Data Governance & Compliance- Establish enterprise-wide data governance framework, policies, and standards. - Ensure data privacy, security, and compliance with applicable laws (e.g., Indian IT Act, GDPR if applicable). - Maintain data integrity across all systems and business units.3. Data Architecture & Management- Oversee the development of scalable data platforms, lakes, and warehouses across the group footprints. - Ensure integration of data across disparate systems (ERP, CRM, SCM, etc.). - Standardize data definitions, taxonomies, and metadata management practices.4. Advanced Analytics & AI/ML Initiatives- Drive adoption of advanced analytics, predictive modelling, and AI/ML applications. - Partner with business leaders to identify use cases for automation and data science. - Lead cross-functional teams for the delivery of analytics and insights.5. Leadership & Collaboration- Build and mentor a high-performing data and analytics team across group entities. - Collaborate with CIOs, CTOs, CFOs, and BU heads to identify priorities and deliver business value. - Foster a data-driven culture throughout the organization.6. Technology & Innovation- Evaluate and implement cutting-edge technologies (AI, IoT, cloud, big data platforms). - Engage with external partners, vendors, and academia for innovation and research. - Stay updated with global trends in data and analytics.Key Skills & Competencies- Proven experience in data management, governance, analytics, and business strategy. - Hands-on knowledge of tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python/R, Hadoop, Snowflake, etc. - Strong understanding of data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, India DPDP Bill). - Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Preferred Background- Experience in managing data operations across multiple business units or geographies. - Exposure to sectors like Banking/Finance, Manufacturing, Healthcare, or Retail is advantageous. - Experience working with both structured and unstructured data sources.KPIs/Success Metrics- Increase in data-driven decisions and insights adoption across all BUs. - Reduction in data quality issues and compliance risks. - Successful implementation of group-wide data governance. - ROI from analytics and AI/ML initiatives.Compensation Range: Rs. 20 LPA – Rs. 25 LPAMonthly [Rs.] Annual [Rs.]Fixed CompensationVariable ComponentAllowancesPerks#J-18808-Ljbffr
