You will independently manage client relationships, support deal closures, oversee invoicing, and ensure smooth coordination between teams. This role combines sales operations, relationship management, and strategic follow-ups, helping strengthen Nature Morte’s presence and outreach in the Mumbai art ecosystem. You will support the Associate Director, Mumbai Gallery in achieving revenue objectives, while also taking ownership of day-to-day client engagements and sales processes. Key Responsibilities 1. Sales Management & Deal Execution - Independently manage a portfolio of collectors and prospective clients. - Support end-to-end sales cycles: presenting works, negotiating, preparing proposals, and helping close deals. - Track and drive progress on open opportunities, ensuring timely follow-ups and conversions. - Maintain updated sales dashboards, reports, and pipelines for regional sales leadership. 2. Invoicing & Sales Operations - Coordinate with Finance and Operations to ensure invoices are raised, shared, and closed on time. - Maintain accurate documentation including sales contracts, order confirmations, and delivery notes. - Ensure compliance with internal sales processes, gallery standards, and documentation checklists. 3. Client Relationship Management - Build and nurture long-term collector relationships, ensuring proactive communication and personalized servicing. - Maintain detailed records of client preferences, engagement history, and purchase cycles. - Provide clients with updates on new works, exhibitions, viewing opportunities, and artist information. 4. Exhibition, Viewings & Events - Represent the sales function at previews, gallery events, and private viewings. - Host collectors professionally, support sales conversations, and ensure executive-level client experience. - Prepare detailed sales support materials: price lists, dossiers, catalogues, viewing decks. 5. Cross-Functional Coordination - Collaborate closely with curatorial, logistics, marketing, and finance teams to ensure seamless sales operations. - Coordinate artwork availability, viewing requests, and movement in collaboration with operations. - Escalate delays or concerns to the Associate Director, Mumbai Gallery in a timely manner. Goals of the Role - Drive sales conversions by managing client relationships and supporting revenue goals. - Ensure 100% accuracy and timeliness in invoicing, documentation, and sales reporting. - Strengthen the Mumbai sales pipeline through improved follow-ups and client prioritization. - Provide actionable sales insights and analytics to support planning and strategy. Ideal Candidate Profile - 3–5 years of experience in sales, business development, account management, or client servicing preferably in art, luxury, lifestyle, or hospitality sectors. Strong communication skills and confidence in dealing with high-value clients and collectors. - Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. - Strong follow-through, attention to detail, and comfort in handling multiple client conversations. - Proactive, polished, and professional in client facing situations. A genuine interest in contemporary art, artists, and gallery programming is highly preferred. - Work Schedule: - Six (6) days per week, with Sunday as the regular weekly day off. - Hours: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM, with flexibility required during exhibition openings, special events, and art fairs.
