Job Summary - We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to drive growth, partnerships, and market adoption of SideFX Houdini Software, the industry-leading procedural 3D software used across VFX, animation, games, XR, and visualization. The ideal candidate will combine strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of the CG/VFX ecosystem, building strategic relationships with studios and technology partners. Key Responsibilities - Develop and execute business development strategies to grow Houdini licenses, services, and ecosystem adoption across targeted markets. - Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities with VFX studios, animation houses, game developers, and emerging tech companies. - Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including studio executives, pipeline TDs, supervisors, educators, and partners. - Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, product, and technical teams to align go-to-market initiatives. - Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to inform growth strategies. - Support product positioning, pricing strategies, and regional expansion initiatives. - Represent the company and SideFX Houdini at industry events, conferences, trade shows, and user groups. - Manage CRM pipeline, forecasts, and reporting against revenue and growth targets. - Contribute to long-term strategic planning for Houdini’s presence in VFX, games, real-time, and emerging markets. Required Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships within VFX, animation, games, or CG software industries. - Strong understanding of SideFX Houdini, procedural workflows, or comparable DCC tools (e.G., Maya, Unreal Engine, Blender). - Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue or partnership targets. - Experience working with enterprise clients, studios, or B2B software customers. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. - Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and creative teams. - Willingness to travel as required for client meetings and industry events. Preferred Qualifications - Existing network within the VFX, animation, or games industries. - Experience in SaaS, licensing models, or software subscriptions. - Background in technical sales, solutions consulting, or developer relations. - Familiarity with real-time engines (Unreal, Unity), USD, and pipeline integration.
