Key Responsibilities: End-to-End Payroll Processing - Manage the entire monthly payroll cycle, including collating salary inputs (attendance, leaves), processing salary, generating payroll registers, and bank transfer files. Statutory Compliance - Ensure accurate calculation, deduction, and deposit of all statutory liabilities, including Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), Professional Tax (PT), and Tax Deducted at Source (TDS/Income Tax). Tax Management - Manage employee investment proofs, manage quarterly/annual TDS returns and Form 16 issuance. Employee Records & HRMS - Maintain and update employee databases in HRMS/Payroll systems (new hires, terminations, salary revisions). Query Resolution - Act as the primary contact for employee queries regarding salary, deductions, and tax, providing prompt and accurate resolutions. Full & Final Settlement (F&F) - Calculate and process exit-related payments, including leave encashment and gratuity. Reporting - Generate monthly reports, payroll dashboards, and assist internal/external stakeholders with documentation. Compliance Updates - Keep up-to-date with changing Indian labor laws and tax regulations.Required Qualifications & Skills: Education- Graduate (BCom/BBM/Any Non-Engineering Graduate) Experience – 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in payroll processing, preferably in a fast-paced environment or outsourcing firm. Technical Skills - Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Keka, GreytHR, ADP, Darwinbox) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables). Compliance Knowledge – Profound knowledge of Indian statutory regulations such as PF, ESI, PT, and Income Tax Act. Soft Skills - High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, integrity in handling confidential data, and proficient verbal/written communication. Preferred Skills - Experience in multi-state payroll processing.
