The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering communication, social interaction, and overall functional independence for our clients. This role involves comprehensive assessment, individualized treatment planning, direct therapy, and collaborative work with families and other professionals.Key Responsibilities:Assessment and Diagnosis:Conduct thorough assessments of speech, language, social communication, and cognitive-communication skills for individuals with ASD across various age groups.Utilize a range of standardized and informal assessment tools, behavioral observations, and case history information to accurately diagnose communication disorders.Interpret assessment results and prepare comprehensive reports outlining findings, diagnoses, and recommendations.Treatment Planning and Implementation:Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans (IEPs/ITPs) tailored to each client's unique needs, strengths, and goals, focusing on functional and spontaneous communication.Implement a variety of therapeutic techniques and strategies, including but not limited to:Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems (e.g., PECS, communication apps, speech-generating devices).Picture and visual supports.Prompting and modeling language.Social communication training (e.g., turn-taking, initiating conversations, understanding social cues).Play-based therapy to foster natural communication.Articulation and phonological therapy.Receptive and expressive language development (vocabulary, sentence structure, grammar).Addressing pragmatic language skills (using language appropriately in social contexts).Addressing non-verbal communication (eye contact, facial expressions, gestures).Integrate academic materials and goals into therapy sessions where appropriate.Monitor client progress regularly, adjust treatment plans as needed, and document all sessions and progress meticulously.Collaboration and Family Support:Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team (e.g., Occupational Therapists, ABA Therapists, Psychologists, Educators, Physicians) to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to client care.Provide comprehensive training, education, and counseling to parents, caregivers, and relevant school staff on communication strategies and techniques to support generalization of skills in natural environments.Facilitate self-advocacy skills in clients where appropriate, empowering them to communicate their needs and preferences.Professional Development & Ethics:Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices, research, and emerging therapies in speech-language pathology, particularly as they relate to ASD.Adhere to all ethical guidelines and professional standards set forth by relevant licensing bodies (e.g., ASHA, RCI in India).Maintain strict client confidentiality.Qualifications:Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited institution.Valid state/national licensure/certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (e.g., CCC-SLP from ASHA, RCI registration in India).Proven experience working as a Speech Therapist with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, across a range of communication abilities (verbal, non-verbal, minimally verbal).Strong understanding of the unique communication profiles and challenges associated with ASD.Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to develop individualized and effective treatment plans.Exceptional communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and active listening skills.Patience, empathy, and a compassionate approach to working with clients and their families.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.Proficiency in using relevant technology for documentation and, if applicable, AAC devices.Preferred Qualifications:B.Sc / Msc and Speech and language pathologyExperience in a private practice, clinic, or school-based setting focused on neurodevelopmental disorders.Please send your resumes @ or share resume at +918970001204 on whatsapp
