Our clients are sophisticated PSU and private sector organisations that expect precise execution, accurate scheduling, and a single authoritative contact point for project delivery.The RoleHead of Projects is a senior leadership role with full accountability for the delivery of every active Floatex project. You own the client relationship from LOA through commissioning.You will manage a team of Project Managers, Site Incharges, and the Electrical Engineer, and you will work in close coordination with the Head of Engineering on technical deliverables.Key ResponsibilitiesClient Relationship & Project Review MeetingsRepresent Floatex in all project review meetings — PRMs, weekly reviews, coordination calls — with the authority to commit to schedules and corrective actionsPrepare and present project status reports, recovery plans, and commissioning schedules to client management; ensure submissions are never lateManage client expectations proactively — flag risks to the client before they become crises; never let a missed milestone be a surpriseExecution & Commissioning OversightOwn the project schedule for all active projects from LOA through grid commissioning; monitor progress daily against milestonesManage Site Incharges directly; ensure on-ground issuesCoordinate across procurement, engineering, logistics, and site to identify and clear bottlenecks before they impact critical pathDrive partial and final commissioning activities; ensure CEA and statutory approvals are tracked and met on scheduleEstablish and enforce a daily reporting rhythm from sitesTeam ManagementDirectly manage Project Managers and Site Incharges; set performance expectations, review DPRs, and hold individuals accountable to commitmentsManage the Electrical Engineer on project delivery —Identify resourcing gaps across active projects; raise hiring needs to leadership with sufficient lead timeSubcontractor & Vendor ManagementOwn the working relationship with key subcontractorsEnsure deliverables from subcontractors (drawings, specifications, schedules) arrive on time and to the standard required for client submissionManage variation orders, scope changes, and contract deviations with clients and subcontractors; document and close them formallyFinancial Tracking & Collections SupportTrack project milestone-based billing; coordinate with accounts to ensure invoices are raised at the right time against the right milestonesSupport collection from clients where outstanding payments are tied to project delivery milestones or document approvalsFlag project cost overruns or margin risks; maintain project-level P&L visibilityRequirementsEssential12–20 years in solar or renewable energy EPC, with at least 5 years in a Project Manager or senior delivery role on large-scale (50 MW+) projectsHas personally represented an EPC company in project review meetings with PSU clients — SECI, NTPC, BHEL, DVC, GAIL, or equivalent — at director or senior engineer level, and can handle difficult roomsProven track record of driving projects to commissioning under schedule pressure, with documented recovery plans and milestone adherenceExperience managing multi-project portfolios simultaneously — not just one project at a timeStrong written and verbal communication in English; can draft a project status report or a schedule recovery plan without assistanceHas managed site teams directly, including Site Incharges and subcontractors, with accountability for on-ground executionPreferred Prior experience at Sterling Wilson, L&T Renewable, Tata Power Solar, Jakson, or Mahindra Susten — familiarity with how these organisations work as EPC clientsExposure to SECI's project management and approval processes specificallyExperience managing electrical subcontractors and coordinating electrical design deliverables
