EHS Leadership & Site Management Act as the site EHS authority , responsible for planning, implementation, and monitoring of EHS systems and procedures. Establish and enforce project-specific EHS plans, safety management systems, and emergency response procedures . Provide leadership and guidance to EHS officers, supervisors, and site teams. Statutory Compliance & Regulatory Liaison Ensure compliance with local labor laws, environmental regulations, factory acts, electrical safety rules, and project-specific statutory requirements . Liaise with government authorities, inspectors, and statutory bodies for audits, approvals, and inspections. Maintain statutory registers, permits, and compliance documentation. Risk Assessment & Hazard Control Lead risk assessments, HIRA, JSA, and method statement reviews for all construction activities. Identify unsafe acts and conditions and ensure implementation of control measures. Ensure high-risk activities (working at height, lifting operations, electrical works, confined spaces) are executed safely. Safety Implementation & Monitoring Conduct regular site safety inspections, audits, and toolbox talks . Monitor contractor and subcontractor compliance with EHS requirements. Ensure proper use of PPE, safety signage, barricading, and work permits. Incident Management & Investigation Lead investigation of accidents, near-misses, and unsafe occurrences . Conduct root cause analysis and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented. Prepare and submit incident reports to management and clients. Training & Safety Culture Development Plan and conduct EHS induction, refresher training, and specialized safety programs for site personnel. Promote a proactive safety culture through safety campaigns, awareness programs, and behavioral safety initiatives. Environmental Management Ensure compliance with environmental management plans (EMP) , including waste management, pollution control, and sustainability practices. Monitor environmental aspects such as dust control, noise levels, waste segregation, and hazardous material handling. Support environmental audits and reporting requirements. Reporting & Documentation Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly EHS reports , including man-hours, incidents, and compliance status. Track safety KPIs and lead indicators. Maintain EHS documentation for audits, certifications, and project close-out. Client & Management Coordination Represent the organization in client EHS meetings, audits, and reviews . Provide regular updates to project management and senior leadership on EHS performance and risks. Support project leadership in achieving EHS objectives and contractual requirements. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Engineering or Science. Recognized EHS qualifications (NEBOSH, IOSH, ADIS, or equivalent). 12–20 years of experience in EHS management, preferably in EPC, infrastructure, power, or renewable energy projects . Key Competencies Strong leadership and authority in site safety management. In-depth knowledge of statutory safety and environmental regulations. Excellent communication, training, and incident investigation skills. Ability to manage multiple contractors and high-risk activities.
