Job Title: Fiber Design Engineer – US Projects Location:Chennai / Bangalore Project Type:US Fiber Telecom (FTTH / FTTx / Broadband) Job Summary We are looking for adetail-oriented Fiber Design Engineerwith hands-on experience inUS telecom fiber projects . The candidate will be responsible for preparing high-qualityfiber network design drawings, permit drawings, and As-Built documentation , incorporating redlines accurately and delivering designs strictly as perUS telecom standards and client requirements . Key Responsibilities 1. Fiber Network Design & Drafting (US Fiber) Prepare US telecom fiber deliverables including: HLD (High Level Design) FTTH / FTTx Network Layout Underground (UG) Fiber Route Design Aerial Fiber Route Design Fiber Permit Drawings Duct & Cable Routing Layout Handhole / Splice Locations Pole Attachment & Aerial Route Plans As-Built Drawings Modify drawings based onclient redlines and mark-ups . Ensure allDWGs are prepared strictly as per client templates and US telecom standards . Avoid assumptions; follow providedsurvey inputs and GIS data accurately . 2. Standards & Compliance Followclient-specific US telecom standards and utility guidelines . Maintain properlayer management, title blocks, scales, and revision controls . Ensure compliance withpermit requirements, utility regulations, and network design guidelines . Adhere to project specifications without deviation. 3. Process & Quality Requirements FollowStandard Operating Procedures (SOP)for all fiber design projects. Accuratelyself-estimate project hours before commencing work . Performself-quality check using technical checklist before submitting to QC . EnsureFirst-Time-Right deliverables with minimal QC rework . Move completed projects todesignated common folder as per workflow . 4. Communication & Coordination Useofficial email for all project-related communication . Coordinate withProject Leads, QC team, and Network Planners when required . Support team duringpeak load to meet client targets . 5. Performance Expectations Handle all types offiber network projects : New FTTH network rollout Underground fiber deployment Aerial fiber deployment Network expansion projects Fiber route optimization Demonstrateconsistent performance across all project types . Meet client timelines while maintainingquality standards . Required Skills Strong proficiency inAutoCAD (2D drafting) . Experience infiber telecom projects . Good understanding of: HLD (High Level Design) FTTH / FTTx network layouts Underground and aerial fiber routing Permit drawings Basic knowledge ofQGIS . Strongattention to detail and time management skills . Experience Required 1–5 years of experience in Telecom Fiber Design / FTTH / FTTx CAD drafting.
