Job Description

Title Urban Drainage Engineer – Storm Drainage 7+ Years Minimum Requirements: ·        A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related field, advanced qualification like master’s degree can be advantageous. ·        Minimum 7-8 years’ Experience with hydraulic modelling of urban/highway drainage and flood risk assessment & clash detection with various utilities. ·        Strong proficiency in technical software’s and tools specific to hydrology & drainage hydraulic analysis like Infoworks ICM, Info Drainage, SewerGems. Key Responsibilities: 1.      Deliver the urban drainage design and highway drainage on multidisciplinary civil engineering projects which includes storm drain system, rainfall-runoff estimation, catchbasin sizing/spacing & Minimum cover, manhole sizing/spacing & minimum cover, catchment delineation, culvert design & outfall discharge for open and closed drainage system. 2.      To develop concept, schematic, detailed and IFC final hydraulic designs for urban and rural storm water drainage system, wastewater and water supply including all required drawings, analysis and computations. 3.      Experience in urban drainage designs using Infoworks ICM and InfoDrainage tools, also should have knowledge of hydrology, culverts design, catchment delineation. 4.      Production of drainage design, hydraulic model calculations & drawings from the stage of concept design to tender stage, also perform various calculations of Gully, catch basins & culverts as required for storm drainage analysis. 5.      Preparation of Storm water plans & profiles using Civil 3D, Utility corridor, typical cross section drawings, utility clash detection and checks with other discipline and coordination. 6.      Designing effective & sustainable drainage systems using both modern software’s and proven engineering principles. 7.      Experienced in international projects and international codes especially European, middle east, KSA etc. 8.      Preparation of technical reports, QA/QC checks & respective typical standard drawings for concept stage, Detailed design & IFC stage submission. 9.      Perform and manage flood risk assessment & incorporate sustainability into drainage design. 10.   Conducting hydrological analysis & site evaluations to understand water flow patterns. 11.   Providing technical advice & consultation on drainage related matters to other engineers, construction managers & urban planners & providing inputs to junior deisgners, preparation of technical & commercial proposals for BD teams. 12.   Preparing & presenting progress & technical reports for discussion as required in client & key stake holder meetings & ensure compliances with relevant codes, regulations, & industry standards. 13.   Experience implementing & administrating common data environments: Bentley ProjectWise, MS Team, share point, BIM 360. Software Experience Required: AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, Infoworks ICM, InfoDrainage, Culvert Master, SewerGems (Bentley),  QGIS/ArcGIS, Navisworks
