This role is designed for someone who understands that short-form is a distinct format — fast, sharp, structured, and attention-driven. You will research, script, and anchor short-form news content designed to inform and engage audiences within 30–90 secondsThis is not a traditional TV anchor role. This is not an influencer role. This is digital-first journalism. What You Will Do ● Anchor short-form news videos for YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels ● Research and script stories independently ● Craft strong hooks within the first 3–5 seconds ● Break down complex stories into sharp, digestible formats● Collaborate with newsroom and editing teams ● Adapt tone and structure for digital attention spans ● Deliver daily short-form output with speed and clarity ● Maintain editorial accuracy and credibility What We’re Looking For ● 2–5 years of experience in digital journalism, video anchoring, or news media ● Strong on-camera presence with high energy and clarity ● Natural understanding of short-form pacing and structure ● Ability to write tight, structured scripts under deadlines ● Comfort delivering news confidently without sounding performative ● Good understanding of current affairs ● Ability to balance credibility with engagement ● Comfortable working in a fast-paced newsroom environment What Will Set You Apart ● Experience anchoring Shorts or Reels ● Ability to structure videos with strong opening hooks ● Understanding of retention and pacing in short-form video ● Clear diction and confident delivery ● Ability to produce multiple short videos daily What This Role Is NOT ● Not a lifestyle influencer role ● Not a meme page role ● Not a teleprompter-only position ● Not a long-form debate anchor role This role is for someone who can make news work in under a minute — without losing depth.
