Technical Product Manager – Life Insurance Location : BangalorePosition Overview We are seeking an experiencedTechnical Product Managerwith strong expertise inLife Insurance products, systems, and digital platforms . The ideal candidate will drive product strategy, manage end‑to‑end product development, and collaborate closely with engineering, actuarial, underwriting, operations, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable digital solutions for Life Insurance.Key Responsibilities Product Strategy & Ownership Define and own the product roadmap for Life Insurance platforms and digital solutions. Translate business goals, customer needs, and market trends into actionable product features. Prioritize the product backlog based on business value, feasibility, and technical effort. Technical & Functional Expertise Work closely with engineering teams to define technical requirements, system workflows, data integrations, and architecture considerations. Understand Life Insurance domain deeply—Products, policy administration, underwriting, new business, claims, reinsurance, compliance, and regulatory aspects. Collaborate with actuarial teams to understand product rules, pricing models, and calculations. Product Development & Delivery Lead end‑to‑end lifecycle from concept → requirements → design → development → testing → release. Write detailedPRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria , and technical workflow documentation. Ensure system integrations with CRM, PAS (Policy Administration Systems), underwriting engines, payment gateways, and digital onboarding platforms. Stakeholder Management Act as the bridge between business teams, technology teams, and external vendors. Collect feedback, conduct requirement workshops, and ensure alignment across all stakeholders. Support pre‑sales, solutioning, and customer demos as needed. Quality & Compliance Ensure Life Insurance regulatory requirements (IRDAI or equivalent) are incorporated into product features. Work with QA teams to ensure proper test coverage, UAT, and regression validation. Drive continuous improvements and help resolve production issues with RCA.Required Skills & Experience 9–15 years of total experience, withstrong exposure to Life Insurance domain . Minimum 3–5 years as aProduct Manager / Product Owner / Business Analystin insurance technology. Hands‑on experience in Life Insurance platforms such as: Policy Administration Systems (PAS) Underwriting engines Digital onboarding/KYC platforms Claims management systems Strong understanding of: Life Insurance products (Term, Endowment, ULIP, Annuity, Riders) Business processes (NB, UW, Policy Issuance, Servicing, Claims) Regulatory compliance (IRDAI or regional equivalents) Ability to convert functional requirements into technical deliverables. Strong skills in Agile methodology, Jira/Azure DevOps, user stories, workflow diagrams. Excellent communication, documentation, and cross‑functional leadership skills.Preferred Qualifications Experience working with InsurTech platforms or digital insurance transformation projects. Understanding of data models, API integration, microservices, and cloud-based solutions. Certifications: CSPO, SAFe PO/PM, PMP, or equivalent (optional). Experience in automation, analytics, or AI/ML‑driven insurance projects is a plus.Education Bachelor’s degree in, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields. MBA in Insurance, Technology, or Operations is advantageous.
