Headquartered in India, the company emphasizes sustainability and eco-friendly innovation to meet diverse project needs.We are seeking an Indoor Air Science & Filtration Materials Lead to drive core research anddevelopment for next-generation Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) systems. This role integrates aerosolphysics, particulate filtration, and indoor air chemistry to develop high-efficiency, low-energy, andchemically safe air purification technologies tailored for real-world indoor environments.This position will be the scientific backbone of our IAQ R&D program, working at the intersection ofairflows, particles, gases, and materials.Key Responsibilities - Aerosol & Particulate ScienceAnalyze indoor aerosol behaviour (PM₁₀, PM₂.₅, ultrafine particles)Study particle size distribution, deposition, resuspension, and filter loadingOptimize filtration efficiency vs pressure drop and energy consumptionSupport airflow design and CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate) optimization in collaboration withmechanical engineersChemical Pollutants & Materials - Characterize indoor gaseous pollutants (VOCs, SVOCs, aldehydes, odours)Design and test activated carbon blends, impregnated adsorbents, and hybrid mediaEvaluate catalytic and photocatalytic materials with focus on by-product safetyStudy secondary pollutant formation and long-term exposure risksImprove filter lifetime, regeneration potential, and sustainabilityResearch, Testing & Innovation - Design laboratory experiments and testing protocolsInterpret performance data and translate findings into product requirementsIdentify patentable materials, media configurations, and system conceptsSupport validation against international IAQ benchmarks and health guidelinesPrepare technical documentation, research reports, and IP disclosuresQualificationsMaster’s or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials ScienceEnvironmental Engineering, or Chemistry with minimum 3 years of experienceStrong foundation in aerosol science, filtration theory, and gas-phase chemistryHands-on experience with laboratory research and material testingExposure to indoor air quality or air-pollution control technologies preferredDesired Skills & CompetenciesAbility to work across physics and chemistry domainsFamiliarity with adsorption, catalysis, and porous materialsExperience with CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics), filtration modelling, or experimental rigs(preferred)Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skillsResearch-oriented mindset with product translation capabilityBenefits:Salary as per Industrial StandardsHigh autonomy and direct influence on product architectureOpportunity to define India-relevant IAQ innovationStrong potential for patents, publications, and deep-tech impactCollaboration with electronics, mechanical, and health expertsLocation: Andheri, MumbaiJob Type: Full timeTime: 10.00 AM to 6.30 PMWorking Days: 5 days a weekPlease drop your resumes on:
