Testing & Commissioning Management Plan, coordinate, and execute testing and commissioning activities for DC & AC systems, inverters, transformers, switchgear, protection relays, and SCADA systems. Prepare and implement T&C procedures, checklists, and commissioning schedules aligned with project milestones. Pre-Commissioning Activities Oversee pre-commissioning checks including IR tests, continuity tests, polarity checks, functional checks, and interlock verifications . Ensure readiness of systems before energization by verifying installation quality and punch-point clearance. Electrical Testing & Energization Lead energization activities in coordination with utilities, clients, and OEM teams . Supervise testing of HT/LT panels, transformers, protection relays, breakers, and earthing systems . Ensure compliance with grid codes, statutory regulations, and safety standards . OEM, Client & Utility Coordination Coordinate with inverter OEMs, transformer suppliers, protection relay vendors, and SCADA teams during testing and commissioning. Act as the single point of contact for client representatives and utility authorities during commissioning phases. Safety & Compliance Ensure strict adherence to electrical safety procedures, LOTO, PTW systems, and site safety norms during commissioning activities. Lead commissioning risk assessments and emergency preparedness. Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution Identify and resolve commissioning issues related to protection, communication, synchronization, and performance. Support root cause analysis for failures and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Documentation & Handover Review and approve test reports, commissioning certificates, and energization approvals . Ensure compilation and submission of commissioning dossiers, as-built drawings, and O&M manuals . Support final handover to O&M teams. Reporting & Coordination Track commissioning progress and report status to project management. Coordinate with construction, QA/QC, and EHS teams to ensure readiness for commissioning. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Diploma with strong experience may be considered). 10–16 years of experience in testing and commissioning of solar, power, or EPC projects . Hands-on experience with inverter-based power plants and grid interconnections.
