DVT & Reliability Engineering Lead Role Summary We are seeking a senior technical leader to own Design Verification Testing (DVT) and Reliability Engineering for TVSE Products including TouchPOS, Thermal Printers, Keyboards The candidate must be capable of defining reliability strategy, calculating product lifetime, and building a scalable validation organization. This is a technical authority role in reliability and validation. Key Responsibilities 1️⃣ Reliability Engineering Leadership Perform & Own: MTBF prediction FIT rate estimation Thermal derating analysis Power component stress analysis Reliability block diagrams (RBD) Weibull life modeling Acceleration factor calculations Define: Product lifetime targets (based on usage) Duty cycle assumptions Environmental stress levels (Country specific conditions) 2️⃣ DVT Architecture & Governance Define risk-based DVT framework Establish entry/exit criteria for EVT/DVT/PVT Review and approve test plans Ensure subsystem coverage including RF robustness, Thermal printer head life, Cutter mechanical life, SMPS robustness, LCD burn-in, Life for keyboard switches Implement structured issue tracking and severity classification 3️⃣ Product-Specific Reliability Focus Thermal Printer (eg. Print head life estimation) TouchPOS (eg. P ower adapter reliability analysis) Soundbox (eg. Speaker fatigue modelling) ⌨ Keyboard (eg. Switch lifecycle validation ) 4️⃣ Environmental & Market Reliability Strategy Design validation for ambient/elevated temperature, RH, Dust-prone environments, unstable power grids Plan accelerated stress tests such as HALT, HASS, Temperature cycling, Power cycling 5️⃣ Team Leadership & Mentorship Train DVT engineers in: Reliability calculations Structured root cause analysis Statistical sampling methods Weibull analysis Review failure analysis reports Establish validation documentation standards Build long-term validation capability 6️⃣ Compliance & Certification Oversight Guide pre-compliance and certification strategy for: CE marking Federal Communications Commission RoHS Support EMI mitigation strategy at PCB and enclosure level. Required Qualifications 15+ years in hardware reliability & validation Proven experience leading DVT for embedded products Strong background in power electronics & thermal systems Experience in POS, payment devices, printers, or IoT hardware Demonstrated mentoring and team development experience Mandatory Technical Expertise MTBF modeling tools (Reliasoft or equivalent) Weibull++ or statistical reliability tools Derating standards (IPC, JEDEC familiarity) Reliability prediction standards such as MIL-HDBK-217 Accelerated life testing design Thermal simulation interpretation Schematic-level stress review capability
