We are looking for a skilled Rigging / Skinning Artist who can create efficient, deformation-friendly rigs and deliver high-quality skinning suitable for real-time game engines. Role Overview As a Rigging / Skinning Artist, you will be responsible for building character rigs and executing high-quality skinning for game-ready models. You will collaborate closely with modelers, animators, and technical artists to ensure smooth deformations, optimal performance, and animation-friendly setups. Key Responsibilities Create production-ready rigs for characters, creatures, and props Perform high-quality skinning and weight painting for smooth deformations Develop efficient bone hierarchies optimized for real-time engines Build facial rigs (blend shapes/joint-based) where required Ensure rigs are animator-friendly and production efficient Troubleshoot deformation issues and optimize rigs for performance Work closely with animators to refine controls and usability Maintain naming conventions, export standards, and pipeline documentation Prepare assets for integration into Unity or Unreal Engine Optimize rigs for mobile performance constraints Required Skills & Qualifications 5 years of experience in rigging and skinning for games Strong proficiency in Maya / Blender (Maya preferred) Deep understanding of joint-based rigging systems Strong knowledge of anatomy and deformation mechanics Experience with real-time engine requirements (Unity / Unreal) Expertise in weight painting and deformation troubleshooting Understanding of animation workflows and production pipelines Ability to create clean, efficient, and scalable rigs Strong problem-solving skills Why Join Gamefuel?
