Client: Virtusa Skill: Senior AI Engineer Locatio: Pan India Exp Range: 7+ yrs JD: Senior AI Engineer (Agentic AI) Role Summary We are seeking an AI Engineer to design, build, and evolve agent-based AI solutions that leverage large language models (LLMs) to solve business problems. This role focuses on agent architecture, orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and memory management, while partnering with Platform and Data teams for infrastructure, deployment, and integrations.This is a hands-on engineering role centered on production-ready AI workflows, not research or model training.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement agentic AI workflows using Develop AI services and pipelines using PythonDefine and implement agent architecture patterns (planning, tool usage, orchestration, memory)Integrate and invoke foundation models via AWS BedrockOptimize LLM behavior through prompt engineering, configuration, and response tuningDesign and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutionsIntegrate and manage vector databases for semantic search and retrievalImplement memory and state management using Redis and other persistence mechanismsCollaborate with Platform Engineering on deployment, scaling, and securityPartner with Data and API teams to integrate AI workflows with enterprise data sourcesEvaluate AI outputs and continuously improve accuracy, reliability, latency, and costDocument AI patterns, architectures, and best practicesMUST HAVE QualificationsStrong hands-on experience with PythonExperience building agent-based AI systems using LangGraph and/or LangFlowSolid understanding of agent architecture concepts (tool calling, planning, memory, orchestration)Experience integrating and invoking LLMs via AWS BedrockHands-on experience with LLM tuning through prompts, parameters, and workflowsFamiliarity with vector databases (e.g., OpenSearch, Pinecone, FAISS, or similar)Experience with Redis or similar systems for caching and memory managementAbility to translate business problems into reliable AI solutionsSTRONG PLUS QualificationsExperience with multi-agent systems and advanced orchestration patternsFamiliarity with AI evaluation, observability, and monitoring toolsExperience deploying AI workloads in cloud or Kubernetes environments (in partnership with platform teams)Knowledge of data preparation, embedding strategies, and chunking techniquesExperience working in regulated or enterprise environments
