Role: Tech Ops Manager GCP Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week) Contract Duration: 6 Months+ (with a possibility of extension) Work Hours: IST Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri) Location: 2x Days onsite - Bangalore, India We're seeking a seasoned Technical Operations Manager with strong GCP expertise to help lead and optimize a large-scale engineering and operations organization. This role will support a team of approximately 170 individuals (including NTT resources) and play a critical part in stabilizing and improving post-transition systems. The ideal candidate is operations-minded, technically savvy in GCP and experienced in driving efficiency, accountability, and standardization across complex, multi-team environments. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure continuous uptime and efficiency across engineering and operations teams. Manage and coordinate the NTT team and internal consultants, providing direction, accountability, and performance oversight. Partner with engineering leads to identify system gaps, issues, and inefficiencies, drive remediation and continuous improvement through Jira task management and sprint planning. Establish, document, and standardize operational procedures and best practices. Lead initiatives focused on optimizing cloud infrastructure and operational processes across multiple environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). Collaborate with stakeholders to define priorities, allocate resources, and manage project timelines. Support financial operations (FinOps) to improve cost visibility and efficiency across cloud environments. Operate within an Agile framework, contributing to sprint planning and ensuring effective execution. Drive post-transition cleanup and stabilization efforts following recent system acquisitions and integrations. Required Qualifications Proven experience managing operations and engineering teams in a large enterprise or managed service environment. Strong hands-on understanding of multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). Experience in Microsoft-focused environments and familiarity with associated tools and technologies. Solid leadership experience with direct and matrixed teams, including vendor or consultant management. Background in FinOps and financial services preferred. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and tools like Jira. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead initiatives independently and drive accountability across diverse teams.
