ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES The ideal candidate for the role of a Zonal Manager will be an enterprising individual with a proven track record of delivering business results and managing teams, with a strong desire for driving exponential revenue growth. The individual willBe responsible for managing and growing the overall P&L of their storesGrow and manage a portfolio of 50 to 100 stores across a geographical regionSet targets for the AOMs and ensure appropriate cascading across all the stores in the Zone Identify areas for additional market penetration Monitor stores’ growth through weekly review meetings with the AOMsAdhere to review guidelines and parameters defined by the head office and the BU HeadIdentify and address issues with under-performing storesManage and expand existing stores’ business as well as drive revenue growth in new storesEnsure strong store openingsUnderstand and take actions on the store audits, market data and performance reportsHelp develop and ensure strong execution of BTL marketing strategiesEnsure timely and adequate store staffing as per the manpower plan, and keep the attrition levels in controlEnsure a robust talent pipeline for all the stores in the ZoneBuild and deliver the extraordinary shopping experience that delights our customers, resulting in industry leading NPSDrive effectiveness and productivity of the teams by supporting and ensuring the highest quality of hiring, training and retail operationsSet and deliver the highest standards of store upkeep and staff groomingCreate a high energy work environment across all stores in the ZoneDevelop deep customer understanding through store visits, customer interactions, and analysis of customer feedback and other reportsConduct regular store visits to preempt customers’ issues and concernsControl and improve the cost structure of the ZoneMaintain costs in line with the budget (in both, absolute and percentage terms)Manage the manpower cost as per the budgetMinimize/eliminate shrinkageBuild on the startup culture with a 10X growth spirit (doing things the “Lenskart Way”)Compliance to the code of conduct and POSH guidelines in letter and spiritBe responsible for effective administration and control of the Zone operationsEnsure complete legal and process compliance across store functionsBuild local networks with governing bodies, administrators and communityEXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTSAt least 8-10 years of retail and general management experience (including international), spanning operations and business strategy Experience of managing a P&L in a fast growth environmentExpertise or knowledge of Omni-channel sales strategies and processesPreferably holding an MBA degree from a reputed institutePREFERRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Strong business acumen with a passion for results: demonstrating high degree of commitmentStrong operational expertise- with deep understanding of the geographyHigh process orientation with extensive experience in process management Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving capabilityStrong operational expertiseDemonstrating Collaborative Ownership - Ability to discuss with courage, clarify, and agree on expectations of each otherAbility to challenge the status quo and set high performance standardsAbility to work in an extremely agile, unstructured and evolving environmentDESIRED VALUESHaving a Customer and Team Obsession - Taking decisions and actions with a customer first approachExhibiting high Start-up Dnergy - Learning at a rapid pace and setting new standards for oneself and othersHaving the mindset to Fail Harder - Taking accountability of failures and learningsHaving a 10X Thinking - “Think Big-Talk Big-Act Big”
