The counselor will work closely with prospective students to guide them through the process of applying for international education opportunities.Responsibilities include providing student counselling, delivering presentations, assisting with admission applications, supporting visa file preparation, and offering personalised guidance to students and their families. The role also involves close collaboration with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient recruitment experience.Job DescriptionAdvise and counsel students regarding universities, courses, admission requirements, entrance exams, and scholarships in the UK, Australia, Canada, the USA, Europe (including Ireland, Germany, France, and the Netherlands), New Zealand, and selected Asian destinations.Provide detailed information on suitable courses in the UK, Australia, Canada, the USA, Europe (including Ireland, Germany, France, and the Netherlands), New Zealand, and selected Asian destinations, based on students’ needs and career aspirations.Conduct telephonic, online, and in-person counselling for leads generated from all sources and invite students for walk-in counselling sessions.Assist students with visa requirements and application processes for the UK and other promoted countries.Meet and coordinate with foreign university delegates.Represent the company at international education fairs, exhibitions, and events.Liaise closely with universities and international admissions officers throughout the admissions cycle.Contribute to the growth and development of Ambassador Consultants.Provide personalised, student-focused counselling and demonstrate flexibility in meeting individual student needs.Ensure reliability, strong follow-up, and strict adherence to deadlines.Demonstrate excellent communication, persuasion, and influencing skills, with a strong sales-driven mindset.Prior experience in the study abroad / overseas education industry will be given preference.Contact prospective students who have registered interest to schedule counselling sessions and interviews.Provide in-depth information to students regarding their chosen courses, institutions, and career outcomes.Carry out outbound calling campaigns targeting specific student segments.Deliver student counselling and career guidance to prospective applicants.Assess students’ academic and professional qualifications against university entry requirements.Maintain accurate records of student visits and ensure regular follow-ups via phone, email, and SMS.Conduct webinars, virtual counselling sessions, and online interviews (video and voice) in a professional manner.Liaise with university international admissions offices to verify documentation throughout the enrolment process.Advise and encourage students on appropriate course options and support enrolment decisions.Once offers are accepted, coordinate closely with students and universities to remove conditions, collect missing documents, and progress applications to CAS issuance and embassy stage.Promote partner institutions through exhibitions, school visits, university visits, and walk-in consultations.Promote institutional offers and campaigns via social media platforms.Understand and support online application and enrolment systems.Maintain and submit regular reports covering counselling activities, offers, applications, tuition deposits, CAS issuance, visa outcomes, and any other relevant information required by the company or its affiliates.QualificationsExcellent communication skills with the ability to deliver impactful presentations.Proven experience in student recruitment and counselling.Ability to provide training and development support.Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.Knowledge of international education systems and visa processes is an advantage.A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counselling, Human Resources, Business or a related field is preferred.
