The SME – Environmental & Infrastructure Solutions will act as LCPL’s on-ground problem diagnostician for environmental and infrastructure-linked projects. This role is for someone who can enter partially functional systems, identify root-cause issues across technical, operational, and regulatory layers, and stitch together custom, workable solutions within real-world constraints. While treatment plants (STP/ETP/WTP/CETP) form one of the active project areas, this role is not limited to treatment systems and is not a design-only position. The emphasis is on solutioning, course correction, and execution support.Key ResponsibilitiesProblem Diagnosis & Solution StitchingAssess underperforming or stalled environmental and infrastructure systems and identify root-cause issuesDiagnose problems spanning design gaps, execution flaws, operational inefficiencies, regulatory non-compliance, and vendor failuresDevelop custom, context-specific solutions rather than standard designs or template responsesBalance technical feasibility, cost constraints, timelines, and regulatory requirements while recommending fixesTreatment Plants (Focused but Limited Scope)Evaluate performance issues in STPs, ETPs, WTPs, and CETPs as part of ongoing mandatesIdentify causes of non-compliance, operational instability, capacity mismatch, or poor output qualityRecommend pragmatic interventions (process tweaks, retrofits, operational corrections, vendor changes, interim solutions)Support troubleshooting during commissioning, stabilization, or post-handover phasesExecution & On-Ground SupportConduct site visits to validate actual conditions versus documented plansWork closely with contractors, operators, government officials, and internal teams to implement corrective actionsFlag execution risks early and recommend mitigation strategiesProvide technical backing during reviews, audits, and inspectionsAdvisory & Decision SupportTranslate complex technical findings into clear, decision-ready inputs for government stakeholders and LCPL leadershipSupport preparation of notes, recommendations, and action plans (not heavy reports or design documents)Act as LCPL’s technical voice in problem-resolution discussionsEligibility & ExperienceEducationDegree in Engineering (Environmental, Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or related discipline)ExperienceHands-on experience working with environmental infrastructure, utilities, industrial systems, or public-sector projectsProven exposure to problem-solving in live projects, not only design or consulting environments
