We aim to empower the next generation to become creators, builders, and problem solvers.As Finance Officer, you will be a strategic partner to the CEO, driving financial strategy, operational excellence, and scalable processes to support rapid growth and student acquisition targets.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Finance & LeadershipDevelop, implement, and oversee financial strategy to support growth targets.Partner with CEO and leadership team to provide financial insight for business decisions.Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team (accounting, analysts, bookkeeping).Establish KPIs, dashboards, and reporting structures to monitor business health.Accounting & ReportingOversee full-cycle accounting: P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and monthly/quarterly close.Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, state, and federal tax laws.Manage audits, financial statements, and regulatory filings.Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)Prepare annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and rolling cash flow models.Monitor actual performance vs. budget and provide actionable recommendations.Analyze student acquisition cost (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), and pricing models.Cash Flow & Risk ManagementMonitor tuition inflows, payment gateways, and refunds.Ensure liquidity, plan for growth investments, and manage burn rate.Implement internal controls, compliance policies, and risk mitigation strategies.Fundraising & Investment (if applicable)Support fundraising efforts: grants, loans, or investor relations.Provide financial due diligence and projections for investors or partners.Legal Advisory & ComplianceOversee corporate governance, entity structuring, and legal documentation.Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with vendors, partners, and stakeholders.Ensure compliance with employment laws, international regulations, and data privacy standards (COPPA, GDPR, FERPA).Advise leadership on legal risks, liabilities, and dispute resolution.Manage intellectual property (IP) protection, trademarks, and licensing.Coordinate with external counsel for complex litigation or cross-border legal issues.Required Qualifications:3 to 5 years of finance experience, with at least 1 years in a leadership role.Strong background in accounting, FP&A, and financial reporting.Experience in EdTech, SaaS, or subscription-based business models preferred.Expertise in cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.Familiarity with U.S. tax regulations and compliance.Hands-on with QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite, Google Sheets/Excel, and BI tools (Google Data Studio, Tableau, Power BI).Key Traits:Strategic thinker and problem solver.Detail-oriented with high integrity and confidentiality.Strong leadership and communication skills.Ability to work in a fast-growing startup environment.KPIs / Success MetricsAccurate and timely monthly/quarterly financial reporting.Student acquisition cost (CAC) tracked and optimized.Cash flow stability: runway, burn rate, and collections.Revenue forecasting accuracy (variance ≤ 5%).Compliance: zero regulatory or tax violations.Timely onboarding and performance management of finance team.Why Join Code MantraLead finance strategy for a mission-driven, fast-growing EdTech startup.Opportunity to build scalable processes and a high-impact finance team.Work with a passionate team shaping the next generation of innovators.
