Our Enterprise Data, Analytics, and AI (EDAA) organization powers this innovation through scalable platforms like the Integration Platform—connecting services and systems with secure and reliable APIs.The Opportunity:As a Manager, Platform Engineering based in India., you will take ownership of critical components of McDonald’s global API infrastructure. You will lead efforts to design, deploy, and govern enterprise APIs that enable business agility, developer efficiency, and secure data access across the organization.This role provides technical and operational leadership for API platform services and requires strong cross-functional collaboration with engineering, architecture, and governance teams.Key Responsibilities:Qualifications:Manage enterprise API gateway configuration, deployment, and performance tuning.Enforce API standards, versioning policies, and access controls in collaboration with global InfoSec and platform governance teams.Lead automation of onboarding workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring dashboards.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to service integration, traffic bottlenecks, and infrastructure scalability.Participate in architecture design sessions and platform roadmap planning.Mentor junior engineers and contribute to community of practice for API excellence across EDAA.Required:Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related technical field.A total work experience of 7- 12 years.6+ years of experience working in platform engineering, backend/API development, or DevOps.In-depth knowledge of REST, API security, and management tools (e.g., Apigee, MuleSoft, AWS/GCP API Gateway).Experience with infrastructure-as-code, monitoring tools, and CI/CD practices.Ability to manage cross-functional collaboration across engineering, security, and business teams.Preferred:McDonald’s ValuesExperience with global-scale API operations and regulatory compliance considerations.Familiarity with service mesh, hybrid/multi-cloud environments, and distributed systems.Prior leadership in an Agile or DevSecOps setting.Our global impact is rooted in shared values:These guide our innovation and people-first culture.
