This is a foundational, hands-on role where your work directly impacts data reliability, trust, and the ability of analytics and ML teams to move quickly and confidently. Deep experience building and operating production-grade data platforms end to end is critical.What You’ll DoOwn end-to-end reliability of data ingestion pipelines, with a strong focus on CDC-based ingestion and schema evolutionBuild, operate, and optimize analytics pipelines on AWS Athena backed by S3, ensuring performance and cost efficiency at scaleDesign, deploy, and maintain production-grade dbt Core projects including transformation models, data quality tests, CI/CD integration, and incremental and full-refresh strategiesEstablish production-grade data governance and observability, including pipeline health monitoring, dbt run visibility, and alerting for failures, delays, and data quality issuesOwn and improve data platform CI/CD workflows to reduce build times and developer frictionImplement and maintain data infrastructure as code using AWS CDK, with TypeScript preferred and Python acceptable with willingness to learn TypeScriptDesign reusable ingestion and transformation patterns to onboard new data sources efficientlyCollaborate closely with analytics, product, and platform teams to align data infrastructure with business requirementsEnable downstream advanced analytics and ML workloads by providing stable, well-governed data foundationsWho You AreA senior, hands-on data engineer who has owned production data platforms end to end, not just individual componentsDeep, battle-tested expertise in AWS Athena and dbt, including performance tuning, cost trade-offs, schema drift, and CI/CD challengesYou think in systems and failure modes, proactively anticipating data quality issues and operational bottlenecksComfortable acting as the single-threaded owner of critical data infrastructure with a strong bias toward reliability and automationYou write infrastructure as code with a platform engineering mindset, prioritizing clarity, reusability, and safe change management using AWS CDKAble to balance pragmatism with standards, knowing when to move fast and when to introduce guardrailsClear communicator who can translate infrastructure constraints into actionable decisions for analytics, product, and platform stakeholdersMotivated by impact and leverage, enabling analysts, data scientists, and business teams to move faster with confidenceNice to HaveExperience with Amazon DMS and CDC-based ingestion patternsStrong observability practices including pipeline metrics, alerts, and dashboardsExperience optimizing dbt build performance and data CI/CD pipelinesExposure to ML or advanced analytics platforms such as SageMaker, Hex, or Jupyter-based environmentsExperience implementing fine-grained access controls and data security patterns in AWSBackground in scaling analytics platforms in high-growth or data-intensive environmentsExpected Compensation₹10 – ₹18 lakhs per annum, depending on experience, skill depth, and role fit
