Experience in FinTech or regulated domains is a strong plus.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & Team Building•Define and execute the engineering roadmap aligned with evolving business goals and the company's vision•Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance fullstack platforms, leveraging modern web frameworks, distributed systems, and cloud-native technologies•Partner with executive and product leadership to translate customer and market needs into innovative engineering solutions•Drive continuous improvement and technology innovation, including AI/ML integration and intelligent user experiences•Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies across the fullstack to ensure continuous innovation•Establish and enforce software engineering standards, best practices, and governance across frontend and backend•Build, inspire, and lead high-performing, cross-functional fullstack teams•Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and technical ownership•Mentor engineering leaders, establish growth paths, and implement performance frameworksTechnical Expertise & ExecutionFrontend Engineering:•Lead development of modern, responsive, and performant web applications using React.js, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks•Design and implement secure authentication flows and role-based access control (RBAC) in frontend applications•Drive frontend architecture decisions including microfrontend architecture and scalable component design•Implement design systems and UI/UX best practices for consistent, accessible user experiences•Optimize frontend performance: code splitting, lazy loading, caching strategies, and Core Web Vitals•Establish state management patterns and efficient data flow across microfrontends•Build real-time, interactive user interfaces with focus on seamless user experience•Implement strategies to use GEN AI in coding, reviews, testing etc to enhance the SDLC life cycle and reduce TATBackend Engineering:•Design and manage scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure using AWS (Lambda, ECS/EKS, RDS, DynamoDB, VPC, IAM) and Infrastructure as Code (CDK, Terraform)•Strong backend expertise: NestJS, Node.js, Python (FastAPI), event streaming (Kafka/SQS)•Design and deliver secure, scalable Authentication & Entitlements frameworks (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, JWT, RBAC, ABAC)•Implement fine-grained authorization systems with policy-based access control and multi-tenancy support•Deep knowledge of relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases, and search systems like Elasticsearch•Build robust RESTful and GraphQL APIs with focus on performance, security, and scalability•Implement microservices architecture with clear service boundaries and API contracts•Implement strategies to use GEN AI in coding, reviews, testing etc to enhance the SDLC life cycle and reduce TATOperational Excellence•Establish best practices around observability, release processes, incident response, and system reliability•Implement proactive monitoring, scalability strategies, and fault-tolerance mechanisms across the stack•Track and optimize key metrics: uptime, performance, development velocity, technical debt, and user experience metrics•Drive automation and developer productivity initiatives•Maintain compliance with industry standards (ISO 27001, SOC2, HIPAA) and implement IAM protocols (OAuth, OpenID)•Ensure security best practices across authentication, authorization, and data protectionRequired Experience & Qualifications•10–12+ years in software engineering, with 5+ years in senior leadership roles•Proven success in building and scaling cloud-native, high-performance fullstack platforms — ideally in FinTech, SaaS, or data-intensive domains•Mandatory experience in startup environments, with a strong bias for action and adaptability•Proven track record of designing and delivering secure Authentication & Entitlements frameworks at scale•Deep knowledge of modern architecture: microservices, microfrontends, event-driven systems, serverless, API-first design•Hands-on experience with the complete development lifecycle from frontend to backend to deployment•Strong understanding of both server-side and client-side performance optimization•Experience building and scaling engineering teams with diverse skillsets (frontend, backend, DevOps, data)Technical SkillsMust Have:•Frontend: React.js, TypeScript, micro frontend architecture (single-spa, Module Federation,), modern CSS frameworks, state management (Redux, etc.)•Backend: NestJS, Node.js, Python (FastAPI), RESTful/GraphQL APIs•Security & IAM: OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, JWT, RBAC, ABAC, SSO, MFA, IAM best practices•Authentication & Authorization: Experience building centralized identity management, entitlements engines, and policy enforcement systems•Cloud: AWS (Lambda, ECS/EKS, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudFront, S3, Cognito, IAM)•Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch•Architecture: Microservices, microfrontends, event-driven systems, API gateway patterns•Compliance: Understanding of security standards (ISO 27001, SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR)•Experience with monorepo architectures (Nx)•Build and deployment optimization tools (Webpack, Vite)•Experience with identity providers (Auth0, Okta)•Experience with real-time systems
