Job Description: EHS TrainerLocation: Jagiroad, AssamExperience: 8 to 12 Years1. Key ResponsibilitiesA. EHS Training Program Development- Develop the annual EHS training plan aligned with site risks, regulatory requirements and semiconductor industry standards. - Design training modules covering: - Chemical handling & hazardous gases - Cleanroom behavioural safety - LOTO & electrical safety - Machine/equipment safety - Fire safety & emergency response - Ergonomics - Environmental compliance - Waste handling & spill response - Working at height, confined space, hot work, material handling - Semiconductor-specific EHS modules - Create competency frameworks and skill matrices for all job roles.B. Training Delivery & Facilitation- Conduct instructor-led sessions for employees, engineers, operators and contractors. - Use modern training methodologies including: - Case studies - Workplace simulations - Hands-on demonstrations - Mock drills - Digital learning tools - Deliver induction programs to all new joiners and contractors. - Conduct outbound and on-the-floor EHS awareness sessions.C. Training Material Development- Develop engaging training content such as: - Presentations, manuals, SOP-based modules - Videos and micro-learning modules - Toolbox talk materials - E-learning courses and quizzes - Ensure training materials meet regulatory compliance, internal EHS standards and semiconductor best practices.D. Competency Assessment & Certification- Conduct pre- and post-training evaluations to measure learning effectiveness. - Certify employees for critical tasks (Chemical handling, LOTO, forklift/MHE operation, confined space entry, emergency response). - Maintain competency records, training logs, attendance registers, and audit-ready documents.E. Safety Culture & Engagement- Drive employee engagement programs such as: - National Safety Week - Fire Safety Week - EHS Campaigns (PPE, chemical safety, housekeeping, ergonomics) - Design behavioural training modules (BBS, Safety Leadership, Observation Skills). - Promote a strong safety culture through continuous engagement and communication. - Support EHS audits with training evidence, trackers, and competency records.F. Contractor Safety Training- Conduct mandatory training and safety induction for all contractors. - Develop contractor-specific safety modules for high-risk jobs (scaffolding, hot work, civil works, lifting operations). - Monitor the training quality of contractor safety teams.G. Coordination & Reporting- Work closely with HR, Operations, Production, Projects, Maintenance and Facility teams to schedule and deliver training. - Prepare monthly EHS training dashboards, KPI reports and training effectiveness analyses. - Coordinate with external trainers, agencies and certification bodies when required.2. Required Skills & Competencies- Excellent presentation, facilitation and communication skills. - Strong understanding of EHS systems, risk management and semiconductor-related hazards (chemicals, gases, cleanroom operations, precision tools). - Expertise in adult learning principles and modern training techniques. - Ability to design digital training modules and interactive learning content. - Strong record-keeping, planning and reporting abilities. - Skilled in conducting mock drills and on-ground safety training.3. Preferred Background- Experience as EHS Trainer in automotive, electronics, semiconductor, pharma or process industries. - Experience training diverse workforces including operators, engineers, contractors and management. - Familiarity with semiconductor-specific hazards and cleanroom training requirements is a strong advantage.
